How incredible this hotel is! Location - quiet, historical, and perfectly positioned. The hotel - again historical, beautiful, inviting and relaxing. The foyer's decor, lounge chairs and twilight ambiance are so inviting it is hard to walk past to your room without stopping. The staff - brilliant every time I stayed there. I agree the rooms are dated but they... More

We chose this hotel to be close to the cruising port and were very pleased with both the location and value for money. The hotel is located less than 200 metres from the port. There are plenty of interesting sites to see in the area including a Sunday market which really doesn't get underway until 11am. There are plenty of... More

On the one hand, it is a perfectly lockated hotel, on the other, it is organised in a strange way. Rooms facing the Harbour are much better then the rooms facing the Rock (it's a district in Sydney). It was X-mas time and it was very noisy everywhere. The windows of my room were overlooking the fair and as they... More

Our family of 4 travelled were in Syndey for the weekend and wanted a central location. Holiday Inn Old Sydney at The Rocks was great. Surrounded by restaurants, pubs and shops. Short walk to ferries, trains and buses. Breakfast was included in our room rate and had a great selection. Staff were always helpful and even allowed us to store... More

The best with this hotel is the location. There was a small and simple pool at the roof, but the view of the Harbor Bridge was excellent. The was plenty of cozy restaurants and shops in the neighborhood. The service was good. But the whole place was a bit worn down and should be fixed. There are probably other better... More

I had seen the rooftop pool of this hotel on previous visits to Sydney and promised myself a stay there one day. Booked a King Bed Executive room for a substantial rate expecting something special. Having flown in from Brisbane where I also stayed in a rivals Executive room I thought reception had given me the wrong keycard. I know... More

As you'll know from the Holiday Inn website it is located in old part of sydney called The Rocks which is very historic area about 2 mins walk from Circular Quay.
