The wash hand basin in my room has a crack through it. There was a long black hair in the basin. I'm 188 cm tall. The shower is not high enough for the taller person. The water pressure in the shower was poor. I like this hotel and will continue to use it.

Hotel and location very good for those who like to be in the party scene. Rooms very calm and nice view over Sydney harbour. Rooms are big. Close to Public transport and beautiful Potts Point. However would be even better without the annoying internet fees. Mercure in Europe gives me free internet/wifi.

This I had a room on the 5th floor over looking Darlinghurst Rd. It was very noisy and I had trouble sleeping. Apart form the noise I could not fault the hotel. I stay there quite regularly and the next time I will ask for a room not facing Darlinghurst Rd.

Hotel staff were very helpful and followed through on some problems experienced with missing car keys. The Hotel retrieved the lost keys from the car park and arranged for them to be delivered to Sydney irport in a very pleasant and efficient manner The Hotel is well positioned and service was pleasant and courteous.

The room I stayed in was nice, clean, and spacious. Forget the stigma of location (Potts Point = Kings Cross). It's right above the rail station, making it perfect to access CBD or other rail locations from North Shore and beyond. I found it more convenient to get to Martin Place than the short walk from Sofitel (but saving $100/night for similar scale accomodation). Give it a try !
