This hostel was very, very filthy. The daily clean includes nothing more than refill of toilet paper. We saw mice in our room and lots of cockroaches ran around in the kitchen. This was the most disgusting hostel I have ever stayed in. For a hostel in a 1st world country, this is appalling. I've stayed in hostels in Africa which have known more cleanliness. It's fine if you don't mind waking up and finding insects crawling across your body! Everything was broken, the fridges and showers were growing new life forms.... More

The staff is really nice. Its annoying that you would feel itchy and uncomfortable when you were in bed, and i was bited by some unknow insect. Its kind of far to go to central by walking,it takes 20minutes by feet. Really noisy at night outside of the backpacker.

Slightly worried when on every available space they are advertising for a cleaner but they need to be. Small giving it a very friendly atmosphere and nice staff, but people you'd rather have serving your drinks than looking after you. 24 hour drinking in one room is nice but at the expense of complete silence throughout the hostel everywhere else... We stayed here for two nights, one night in a 6 bed shared bathroom and the other in a 6 bed ensuite. The ensuite was better as the bathrooms aren't very clean. Spent four nights here - the location was great for going out and exploring the city, and not too far from Bondi and the eastern suburbs. The rooms were fine, and the people friendly. Stayed here for 6 months..... there are great friendly helpful staff that are there for you etc... the property is in kings cross so is very central and in a very lively area... Despite being here for so long i wasnt made to feel at home ... with changes coming into play such as putting a deposit down for cultery... More
