Rooms were absolutely filthy, cockroach infestations are clearly huge issue, plates of mouldy food left in the room under my bed from previous people.. A few boys in our room had problems with bed bugs and were bitten from head to toe. Staff were unhelpful, and after mentioning the total absence of so called 'cleaners', were told by one girl... Cockroaches everywhere due to the rooms never being cleaned. Arrived to a room full of people's previous rubbish including dirty plates and open bottles of jam and peanut butter under the bed. When we complained about the large amount of roaches and uncleanliness of the room there was still nothing done to change this. Location is in red light district..... More

I stayed at Brados for over 2 months and loved every minute. It was cleaned daily, the staff were friendly and always organising events for people to join in with. They have free functioning wifi, and free breakfast which is more than just cornflakes. While I was there they refitted all the rooms with sexy new flooring and also had... More

I stayed here for 5 nights back in July, and whilst the people were friendly, the place was disgusting. Every morning we woke to find cockroaches surrounding the bunks. The rooms were not very clean, and as many of the people live there, what can you expect. You get what you pay for.

To be fair to brados it is ridiculously cheap and once you get past the dirt, cockroaches and damp smell it is, in some ways, bareable. Although I did wake up to some absolute mong digging through my bag looking for a condom after taking home the human equivalent of a bag of sand. I travelled with a friend and... More

I stayed in another hostel whilst in Sydney and a few throughout my travels in oz but brados was by far the most fun and welcoming and just generally happy place I've visited. Even though I wasn't there long and most people there are long termers they all made me feel so so welcome and so did the staff and... More

The most uninhabitable hostel (if you can class it as such) I've ever step foot in. I will write a list seeing as there's far too much to just describe....it will paint the image for you. Please bear in mind this is after pushing your way through the drug addicts, alcoholics and homeless lerking around the front door which is... More

Some rooms are cleaner than others, the ones with en suite bathrooms are much better as the public toilets and showers aren't great. The kitchen can get very crowded as there isn't much space to cook or many pans to use. Location is great and atmosphere is too, it's obviously not the cleanest or nicest hostel around but for the... Upon arrival we were greeted by a girl behind reception who was in a foul mood, then it just got worse after entering our dorm to the musty smell of dirty washing and mould. We were told that the rooms were cleaned every day and "deep cleaned" once a week. But....judging by the clumps of dirt in ever corner if... More

We booked into this hostel for 4 nights as it was cheap. We stayed in a 14 bed mixed dorm. This would've been okay but the room was not big enough for 14 people and there wasn't enough storage for all their stuff so everything was on the floor. That wasn't too bad though as we're fairly messy ourselves. To... More
