We shared a twin room that had a double bed and a trundle bed. Both were clean and comfortable. Our room was spacious, internet was reasonable, and the hotel was quiet at night. The front desk staff was very helpful and the self-store luggage lockers were a huge help on check-out day. . The big downside is 5 flights of... More

I love Sydney. I love the opera house, and I love this place now too. It was recommended to be by a backpacker in New Zealand, I looked it up, booked and didn't regret one minute of my stay. This place is phenomenal. It's clean, the staff are friendly and super professional. I had a problem with my Global Gossip... More

I booked to stay here for my last few days in Australia on my working holiday visa. Was told it was great, I was not disappointed although I did have food stolen! It was a bit of a trek getting there but I think I took a long way for a short cut. If you're in the city and can... More

ok, this isn't a "hostel" it's a hotel. If you're willing to pay a bit more to treat yourself it's well worth it. Really enjoyed my stay here. Stayed 9 days while exploring the area. Staff was absolutely incredible-friendly, efficient, attentive, helpful, on and on. The staff went way beyond what would be expected to help make our stay enjoyable.

I stayed in this hostel twice last year and couldn't fault any part of it. I agree with another review that it can be hard to find at first, after a long flight I decided to take a taxi from circular quay station instead of wandering around. This wasn't a problem again as it is within walking v distance of... More

Stayed for four nights at this hostel, which is located right smack in The Rocks area, and has a very good location in Circular Quay. Facilities-wise, I would say top notch for hostel standard. If you don't really value privacy (I spent the bulk of my days touring outside), go for this hostel, instead of a budget hotel...Rooms are clean... More

Hi Kenneygoh Thanks for your review of Sydney Harbour YHA and we are glad you enjoyed your stay. With directions, because The Rocks does have many small back streets and can be confusing, we do provide a detailed map and directions as a pdf on our website. We strongly recommend people use Wynyard station, not Circular Quay as it is... More

My husband and I and another couple stayed here for a weekend (Fri & Sat night). We were initially worried about what we would encounter as we were older than the Youths we thought they were talking about in their title! :D … we were pleasantly surprised, there was a huge mix and variety of ages and nationalities which was... I loved the sydney harbour YHA. It is located in a great part of Sydney, in Circular Quay which is in walking distance of the harbour and close to transportation to wherever you need. The staff is friendly, the rooms are simple but clean and totally adequate and, like a hostel, the have a ton of activities you can join... More

Stayed at this hostel for 2 nights of my Australian vacation.Because of the size of it there is more a hotel atmosphere to it rather than the laid back hostel feeling. The room was great, very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The kitchen was immaculate as well as the lobby and guest rooms.Good location and great view from the...
