We had a family room with a double and two bunk beds. A bit tight as we had been traveling for 2 weeks and had lots of luggage between us. Nevertheless, it was very clean. The walls are quite thin as we could hear our neighbours. And we kept on being disturbed by the upstairs people jumping around. But for... More

Great facility, lovely rooms, helpful staff. Only disappointment is the terrace overlooking harbour closing down at 9:30pm. Thus, no moonlit sitting outdoors not to mention smokers are banished to stand on the street. Otherwise top notch, esp as it's alongside the likes of Four Seasons, Shangrila, and other 4-star hotels.

Hi Karen Really glad to hear that you enjoyed staying at our hostel. Just to let you know that the roof terrace closes because there are residential apartments just below the hostel on the next street. As part of wanting to be a good neighbour, YHA tries to minimise noise disruption to these locals. Unfortunately outdoor noise carries at night!... More

This year I stayed at the YHA for four nights for an excursion. Can I say, I had a perfect view of the Harbour Bridge, Opera House, and so many world famous monuments. The room was very clean, the food was extremely tasty, and it is in a VERY convenient place! Thank you to all of the staff at the... More

This hostel is definately a good choice when you wanne stay in the heart of Sydney. Just a 5 minutes walk and you will be in the harbour of Sydney. Coles and a trainstation are around as well. The room are really clean (specially the bathroom! I have to point that out !) You can get breakfast and coffee in... More

I stayed here with a school group, this place is in a great location near the harbour bridge and the city life if thats what your looking for. The room i had was comfortable, clean and spacious but was missing a tv which would have been good when relaxing after a big day.

Stayed at the Rocks for 5 nights, and it was everything i had hoped for. Its cheap as a backpacker and you meet so many nice people and the staff is so friendly and they make events all the time, so even though I travelled alone I didn't feel bored or alone at any point. Parties and food events, they... More

I booked this hotel as it seemed a good price for the location. It was clean and the bathroom was very nice. I booked a private double room with private bathroom so the price was obviously much higher than using a dorm room (approx £85/night). The facilities seemed good. We attended the BBQ on the rooftop one night but as... More

I stayed in the Sydney Harbour YHA with my parents, who are in their early 60s. It was there first stay in a hostel and they were all surprised! The YHA is perfectly located in The Rocks, Sydney's oldest district. From the rooftop terrace you have an undisturbed view on the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. All city sights are... More

We were looking for a place to stay in Central Sydney that was close to main attractions that were accessible by walking. This was perfect even on a rainy weekend. Stayed in a double room which had a view of harbour. Room was modern and clean.
