Whatever your age you'll enjoy this hostel. Good mix of people, ages and families. The facilities, bedrooms, staff and location are all great. The room I was in was very spacious for 4people, had it's own lockers and best of all an en suite toilet and shower. I definitely wanted something that wasn't noisy but had some atmosphere so for... Our family stayed two nights at Sydney Harbor YHA. Is was so nice. Tidy rooms with perfect size. Bunk beds and cleans fresh sheets. The staf was so friendly and helped us a lot, with what to find, wi-fi and a lot more. You could buy wi-fi for a day or other options. Best location in central Sydney! So close... More

This hostel is in the prime location for all Sydney sightseeing. Right next to the Harbour bridge, 15 minute walk to the Opera House and 5-10 minutes to Circular Quay ferries, trains and buses. The rooms are spacious and very clean and the staff will help with all your needs. Also, the rooftop terrace is amazing (when there's not a... More

Having stayed at the Sydney Central YHA, I decided that I wanted to check this hostel out and I am so glad that I did. I was greeted by super-friendly staff on reception (which is more than I can say for the central hostel). My dorm room had a lovely en suite bathroom and toilet. It was super clean. There... More

We spent 8 nights at the Sydney Harbour hostel as our base to explore Sydney and the region. The main advantage of this accommodation is its location and its reasonable price in this particularly expensive part of Sydney. Make no mistake, though, it is a youth hostel so you will not get any kind of hotel service. That being said,... More

This hostel is more like a hybrid between a hostel and hotel. It is central to everything, right across from the bridge steps and less than 10 minutes to Circular Quay. The rooftop view is amazing. It's perfect for individuals of all ages and for all types of travelers - solo or groups. The hotel is very clean and safe,... More

Hi Devani Thanks for your comprehensive review and glad you enjoyed your stay. Just to let you know about the air conditioning - YHA made a deliberate decision to try and build this hostel as sustainably as possible. Air conditioning is available to all guests but on demand (you can phone reception from your room!) as a lot of hotel... More

Staying at Sydney YHA was my third experience of a Sydney Hostel and this was by far the best! It is well placed in the centre of Sydney, a short walk (admittedly down a lot of steps) to all the main sights, bars and restaurants. The roof terrace provides a breathtaking view of the Harbour Bridge, the Opera House and... More

This is my second time at YHA, it is a great place to stay very close to circular quay (10min or less by walking) with awesome views from the rooftop which is at the 3rd floor!! It is fairly clean and the best is that it is really quiet at night There are great activities you can join which are... More

The best thing about the hostel is the location. Is really close to the center of the city and you can walk to almost all of the principal places. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have guests all ages: since teens to elderly. Definitely, I would stay there again.

The hostel is located in a very charming area (The Rocks). A few minutes walking to the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House, close to good restaurants and bars. I stayed in a four beds room, it was spacious and clean.
