Out of all the hostels we have stayed in so far, this one was by far the best. The staff was great and organized plenty of activities; everything from Table Tennis Tournaments, Beach Volleyball, Laser Tag, Goon Pong, and Bonfires. There are free surfboards, paddle-boards, kayaks, snorkel gear, body-boards, you name it. We planned on staying two days and extended... More

Stayed only for a night, would have loved to stay longer. Free WiFi and not to far from 'town' are pro's. There were renovations going on at the time so it was a little loud during the day, but I would imagine they should be sorted soon. 100% better than the YHA down the road. Will definitely stay at again!

This was my first hostel of the easy coast so I wasn't really sure what to expect but wow Aussitels set the standard high! A pick up at 6:30 was brilliant, followed by a drive around town and watching the sun rise from the look out point! The hostel was very friendly, free wifi, the activities run daily were great.... This is a lovely hostel, you can't complain about the price it's pretty cheap and all activities are free, every backpackers favourite word!!! The rooms were a little cramped but still really clean, pretty comfy beds! The only bad thing is we went in the summer and they just had one fan on the wall which only hit one person.

I really enjoyed my stay here, booked for a few nights and ended up staying for over a week! There's a lot of free activities; surf/ body boards, kayaks, stand up boards, canoes and more all for free and for no hassle. The 3 reps that work there, as well as the 2 live in owners, are very nice and... More

Very friendly hostel. Had to telephone for pick up as apparently the Greyhound is usually late (we were) but the driver went out of his way to show us around including a view point. Reception were very helpful and nice. Free wifi and computers. Nice dorm. They had a Taco evening when I was there for $6 (which is good... More

This was only a one night stopover for me so I didn't deal much with the staff or get to experience the activities. In late and out early. I think this is a great place to stay if you need a good nights sleep, there is barely any noise. All the people I met were lovely and it feels like... More

We were originally meant to stay in Coffs Harbor for 4 days, 9 days later we are still here. Aussitel is one of the best hostels we have stayed in not only is it such good value for money there is also such a good atmosphere here and with free/really cheap activities to do in the morning and evening. It's... More

Hostel is clean, with reasonable facilities if a little dated. The staff however were extremely rude and wouldn't let us stay in the hostel till our transport arrived to leave Coffs Harbour despite being made to pay $5 to stay that day. This 'rule' was not mentioned on arrival and one member of staff in particular was very rude when... More

You forgot to mention that your transport left Coffs Harbour the following day after you checked out. We allow guests to stay until 11 pm (23:00). That means guests can stay in the hostel for another 13 hours after they check out. Guests can continue to use all the facilities for the rest of the day. We even give guests... More
