6 of us showed up in dirty old cars on our way home from the Variety Bash, desperate for a shower and a bed. Daniel and Emily not only discounted our rooms (which were huge and spacious with great views) but also presented us with a $250 donation to Variety - the children's charity the next morning! Highly recommend this... More

The apartment was clean, spacious, sunny and warm. Staff were fantastic. Helpful and courteous. Close to great bars and restaurants but still quiet. Easy walk to beach and entertainment. 5 mins to the centre of town. Will definitely return. Thank you for a very pleasant stay.

Been staying here 4 years and keep coming back for consistently excellent service and accommodation. The staff are welcoming and friendly and the rooms spotless. Very comfy beds and well equiped kitchen. I have stayed in the various sized apartments - 1,2 and 3 bedroom and a all consistent with cleanliness and comfort. Had same response from family and friends... More

We booked the 3 bedroom townhouse for 1 night on route to the Gold Coast. I read the reviews on trip advisor and could not believe the state of the townhouse we were allocated. The first thing was the smell, it was stinking, the 3 bedrooms were downstairs and they were freezing cold. There was no heating and no duvets... More

Thank you for taking the time to review our property. As a 4 star rated property we are continually looking of ways to improve our self contained apartments for our guests. Each of our apartments have reverse cycle air conditioning for the cooler months. Perhaps as a courtesy in Winter we turn these on to allow for our arrivals to... More

My husband and I stayed at this place during the first week of the school holidays but, unfortunately, for only one night. We wished it was more. We stayed in one of the top rooms which had a fantastic overview of the wharf, the ocean and Muttonbird Island. We were lucky, as it was time that the whales migrate up... More

Simply put, this holiday apartment complex is worth considering for its location. It's a 10 min walk to the surf club and mutton bird island. The harbour is closer and jetty strip is on the doorstep. The owners are incredibly friendly and give good advice as the where to eat and what to do. Rooms are spacious with a great... More

I’ve stayed at the Observatory around a dozen times and haven’t been let down once. The rooms are clean and well-appointed, with great views overlooking the water. The location is very convenient: a 3 minute walk from cafes, restaurants and a shopping strip. And the service has consistently been of a very high standard: Daniel and Emily are always friendly...
