I found Red Cedars clean, spacious, and comfortable. Possibly this was because I was by myself in a family room, but with a queen bed, two singles, and bunk, you'd still have a reasonable amount of room even if all the beds were taken.

How do the managers decide where latecomers are going to make a racket? When I settled down in bed, the room thrummed with only my hubby's gentle snoring and ticked along with distant road sounds. It was after midnight. A family had already been fitted in somewhere and their door slams and piping voices had hushed. But then, a four... More

The queen room we used was a spacious well furnished room with tea/coffee facilities, toaster and microwave. The queen bed was quite comfortable and there was a separate couch with a foldaway bed as well. Extra pillows and blankets were also supplied together with a reverse cycle air conditioner and an outdoor sitting area if needed. We were on the... More

Stayed here for 5 nights while on business in Canberra and needed a kitchenette for self catering (budget) purposes. Got a corner room on the ground floor (109) which had a large bedroom.lounge and a separate kitchenette which was better than you find in mot motels. While it's a bit away from shops and restaurants it's a quiet and cosy... More

Very clean rooms and the price was fantastic. Our room had a bunk bed and queen bed with a kitchenette that was fantastic (brand new and very clean). If you are looking for family accommodation for a night or two and don't want to spend a lot this place was great.

Stay here every year and find the place great, clean, convenient, warm and the staff are great to deal with, wouldn't stay anywhere else. Extremely close to the showgrounds, very quiet area, peaceful, very easy access.

We stayed for 2 nights. Close to everything. Room old but comfortable. 4 kids in bunk beds. 2 adults in a queen bed. Toaster, kettle sachets of coffee, tea and sugar. Air conditioner and plenty of blankets kept us warm. Noise from other rooms minimal. Outside traffic noise minimal. Only downside. No curtain in shower recess floor saturated. Nothing to... More

My husband and I stayed at this motel for just one night on the way back from the Snowy Mountains to Sydney. Canberra can be quite expensive, I searched online for a family room as we travelled with our two children aged 9 and 13 years and many hotels and motels had family rooms that were close to $200 a... Friendly and helpful staff on arrival. The rooms were simple and functional. Location was convenient as we were travelling to Gold Creek village to do touristy stuff - National Dinosaur Museum and Cockington Green. Only a few minutes drive from the range of eateries in Dickson. We'd probably stay here again.

We stayed here for one night recently, we were in Canberra for a sporting event. The staff at check in were friendly and efficient. They were not overly effusive - we didn't get a beaming welcome but they were certainly friendly. We booked a room with a kitchenette. The room was a decent size, and it was great that the... More
