Stayed a the Waldorf for 10 days in winter and would not stay again. The room was adequate but in need of a refresh. The air-conditioning was set to 19 degrees which was far too cold for the six coldest nights on record in Canberra and despite speaking with reception staff, this remained an issue until I went to Target... This place has location going for it - and really that's about it. It is steadily heading towards budget accommodation standards and to be quite frank, I have stayed in hostels which have given a better experience. I understand the need for cost-cutting, but they no longer supply shampoo, soap, body lotion etc., which a halfway decent three star would,... More

Two bedroom apartment was very clean, spacious and great for two couples. Down side the toilet was right next to the queen bed. We got a deal that included breakfast; expecting bacon, eggs, open buffet, we got some dismal cereal. Was not happy. Reception staff were very snotty; because we were two young couples we felt looked down upon. Great... More

Our family stayed here while on a road trip. Indeed it was a modern and 'luxurious' location of our trip, very reasonable rate for our 2 nights stay.. We booked online and were somewhat surprised to be upgraded to a 2 bedroom hotel apartment.nice breakfast at very reasonable costs. very central Canberra City location for tourists.. Location is great, walking... More

Great place to stay if your are traveling business wise and need central location. Price point is good however the rooms could be a bit bigger. Secondly buffet on the ground floor is very limited in terms of variety. Would suggest to have breakfast somewhere else. p.s. shopping center is across the road.

We stayed only 1 night in a 2 bedroom apartment. The check in was quick, parking is cheap at $15 per night. The heater wasn't enough to keep the whole apartment warm but there were enough blankets in the bedrooms. Bathroom/toilet was accessible from both the main bedroom and hall, and the kitchen had enough pots and pans and cutlery.... More

Plus: location and receptionist during the day! Minus: A/c not working so no heating in Canberra in July! Three times the receptionist asked us to go back up to our room to check things (was the breaker switch on or off, turn off all power points and try again, check if there is a heater in the room)! Checked if... More

Stayed here for a four night Canberra holiday with my two daughters. Great location in central Canberra. Great shopping at doorstep. Canberra CBD shops are huge. There is easy parking under hotel (but is an extra $15 a night). If you are a family of four or less go for the 1 dedroom with office. It is like a two... More
