Customer service at this hotel is dreadful. We broke down before reaching the place and the reservation staff wouldn't move our booking to another night. Really hoped for more empathetic treatment. Avoid, avoid, avoid. more

I stayed at the Pavilion on Northbourne recently for a conference that my company was holding at the same venue. I was pleasantly surprised on entering the hotel, which is deceivingly ordinary from the outside, that I should be welcomed by such a beautiful atrium in the middle of the hotel! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful on check... more

We stayed for two nights at the Pavilion on Northbourne. We paid for breakfast and the cook didnt turn up so we had to go to Mcdonalds for breakfast. The next morning we went for breakfast and it was a buffet. The food was cold. The airconditioning in the room was not able to be adjusted and the parking was... more

We booked this hotel late on the night of our arrival and were offered $195 including breakfast. The night receptionist was extremely polite and efficient and booked us in smoothly. We noticed the lobby restaurant was completely empty and in darkness. Perhaps the rate of $195 was the reason why. To cut to the chase, we stayed in the hotel... more

We stayed at the Pavilion for three nights in a two bedroomed apartment in December 2008. The apartment was very well set out. The only disadvantage was the airconditioning, it could not be turned off and the temperature control was not working. As we were cold we set our temperature control to 30 degrees celsius but nothing changed. I reported... more

My girlfriend and I decided to go away to the capital country for the Christmas/New Year break to just check it out (being symbolic and all). We stayed at the Pavilion on Northbourne in a hotel room (not apartment) for 2 nights after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor and booking via the Internet. We booked under a discount deal... more

I stayed at the Pavillion in September for a combination of both business and pleasure. I have been booking colleagues into this hotel for 5 years now and it was interesting to finally be checking it out for myself. Let me say from the outset that the Pavillion was okay. It is an older hotel and is starting to show... more

We booked a dinner, bed and breakfast package at this hotel on June 1, for our wedding anniversary. Upon arrival we checked in and reception was quite good. Plenty of car parking too as it was a Sunday night, hotel 30% full only. Paid $249 for the package, so expected something very nice for that sort of money. Hotel condition:... more

Let me say straight off, I stayed at this hotel for a work trip to Canberra and didn't pay for it myself! I stayed at the Pavilion as it was close to my training centre. I had a king spa suite in the 'apartment' part of the hotel at $370 for two nights. This didn't include breakfast, although I purchased... more
