stayed in a twin room. the room was old, but still alright (clean tidy etc). shower took a while (1-2min) to heat up. toilet was a bit hard to flush (button needed a really hard push). they're in the process of doing some reservations so you may get some slight morning noise when garden/construction work begins. what did make up... more

Booked one night at the Rex as a stopover on way back to Syd from the snow, and as soon as we arrived we noticed problems... This hotel was a little bit older than some might like but the service was impeccable. We were greeted by very polite and respectful staff who then advised us on the best places to eat etc with maps. The concierge was most obliging. The room itself was spacious enough and had all the amenities you would need without being posh. more

First i gotta say - the breakfast was terrific and the selection of foods very good - and reasonably priced, especially if you take advantage of the early bird and pay the night before.
