I would stay at the Best Western Tall Trees Canberra again as it offered a good sleep (my room had a queen and a single bed) and a newly renovated bathroom. There was an iron and ironing board in the room, which is handy if you are travelling on business. The bathroom had a shower, no bath and was fresh... More

We've stayed at Tall Trees a couple of times now, and recommend it. The most recent stay was very good. The rooms are clean, modern and quiet. They're not large, but certainly more than adequate. The price is good, and the location works well. It's a short drive to Civic, and all the Asian eateries at Dickson are just down... More

Thank you for your largely positive review. We have been experiencing problems with our WiFi equipment provider and are currently upgrading our WiFi service. We hope that you will be staying with us again soon and that, on the next occasion, you will experience WiFi which is genuinely “high speed”. Kind regards - Management More

If you need accommodation close to Canberra this is the place to go. The motel is nestled amongst houses in suburbia, upon arriving at Tall Trees my wife and I were so grateful for the personal attention from a young lady "Vania" at the reception desk, she solved a problem that arose from a booking that I had made over... So the Tall Trees is set in Ainslie - out of the way from the heart of Canberra / Civic so you will need a car for transportation. The outside is standard - has been freshly painted and the car park is huge "Big Tick". However once you open your door...its like staying in Civic - fancy tables, chairs and... More

Thank you for your most generous review. However, we wish to cure a misconception in your description of the area in which our hotel is located. Ainslie is a quiet, sought-after, long established, middle-class suburb, within only a few minutes drive to every major attraction in Canberra. There are a handful of neat housing commission homes within close proximity to... More

The hotel was good value for money, its not in a particularly nice area and the rooms are a little dated. The staff are very friendly and accommodated our request for early check in with no fuss. They also provided us a cot for no charge (unlikely many other hotels that wanted $30 a night) There is free parking and... More

We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us. We are not sure what room type you stayed in. Almost every guest room in the property is totally renovated and, by the end of October, we will have completed the renovation of our larger Executive rooms – new joinery and updated bathrooms. So, the next time you stay with... More

The rooms are very small but are refurbished we had a young daughter with us and we were placed in a room near the outside stairwell this made it very hard to get her to sleep as people were constantly walking up and down the stairs and we were able to hear every car pull in and out of the... More

We refer to your review. You stayed with us in a small, totally renovated, Standard Room. We also have very large Family Rooms, which can accommodate up to 6 guests. We would ask you to consider staying with us again and upgrading to a Family Room, which you will find both quiet and of a very generous size. We believe... More

A good place to stay with Dixon and Ainslie shops/cafes only a short walk away. The staff were friendly and helpful. The wifi was free but only a slow and poor signal was achievable. otherwise it was good value.

So we stayed here for the weekend at the snow. Ideally located close to a large supermarket and other shops, topping up our supplies and quick meal options was easy. The areas that let this business down were the following: bunk beds placed in a room not designed for a group of 6, one bed about 2 inches underneath the... More

I have been using the BW Tall Trees since 2006 for work trips to Canberra. After recent refurbishments to rooms in the hotel, specifically to the bathrooms, the level of fittings has been lifted to a very modern, efficient, yet stylish standard. There is more usable area in the bathrooms and the shower caters for the taller person. The service... More

We wanted to visit Canberra, just an overnight stay, family of 4. We wanted to see the War Memorial, National Museum and Telstra Tower. For an overnight stay we wanted something that would accommodate our family, 2 adults 2 kids, so wanted queen and two singles. Unless you want to stay in a two bedroom apartment and pay the extra...
