The rooms are generally well decorated in the Art Deco style. BUT PLEASE double glaze the windows. People in the wonderful courtyard could be heard until late. They have done a great renovation but given the Canberra climate why not double glaze. Otherwise allow the windows to be opened.mthe Daikin system is erratic. We were either too cold to too... More

Hotel Kurrajong has undergone a recent refurbishment, providing tasteful decor. Suites are well equipped with pod coffee machine and all the usual facilities, but a little cosy. The bar offers a welcoming lounge or nice garden seating, lovely on a summer evening. There is a gym and limited free internet. The breakfast buffet is pretty standard.

Great restoration of iconic Canberra hotel. Good bedrooms with character .Unfortunately the dining experience was below expectations due to 1 hour waits between courses and rushed staff . Meal quality only fair

Really enjoyed this historic hotel which we booked via a deal offered by a travel web site. Particularly loved the ambience and location. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Would definitely like to return - if the price was right.

This refurbished hotel has lost a little in the change but it is still comfortable and its sense of history is prevalent. The location is good as it is away from the noise of the city but right near key cultural venues.

We spent the last weekend in January in Canberra to see the excellent Tom Roberts exhibition at the National Gallery and the lovely Celestial Images at the National Library. The Hotel Kurrajong was very handy for the Gallery and the parliamentary part of the capital. We had a super room - one of the heritage rooms. It's got loads of... More

The original buildings of Canberra have a distinct and unique style. The Hotel Kurrajong is a great example of 1920's Canberra and the optimism of building a National Capital. The exteriors and building have been fully restored, the public rooms and hotel rooms are contempory but sympathetic art deco style. The hotels gardens and lawns are beautiful, again capturing the... Great rooms with King Size beds. Very quiet with historical ambience. The rooms are large and well designed. The outside bar and dining area is ideal for a pleasant summer session with a small but effective gymnasium available for guest use.

Friendly reception , lovely room with a decent size shower. Coffee machine but only one comfortable chair. Grounds surrounding Hotel are beautiful. Highly recommend. Parking $15 a night. Handy to cafes and city and short distance to Parliament House.
