I stayed at the Kurrajong for one night and thought it was fine. I arrived just after 8pm and although the restaurant was closing, the receptionist offered to keep the kitchen open until I could order. The receptionist also readily assisted when I couldn't connect to the internet in the business centre. Along with an efficient and friendly check-out the... more

My partner and I traveled to Canberra to do some sight seeing and general relaxing. We weren't sure where to stay so we did the usual search online using a well know search engine. Hotel Kurrajong was the first we saw listed on a map, and the listing had some photos which looked good, so we decided to stay there.... more

This is an awful hotel with absolutely no service except for a very average breakfast (at $25!). A four-star should be "Exceptionally well appointed with a high level of facilities: quality furnishings and a high degree of comfort, presentation and guest services provided” Nothing like that at the Kurrajong: this is a four star hotel with no room services. If... more

Do not consider! Despite booking in advance through the hotel's official website, I had my booking canceled at the last minute and the hotel refusing to find alternative accommodation. I had email confirmation and a deposit taken from my credit card that they claimed as a reservation guarantee. This meant nothing. When I tried to contact the hotel to find... more

This is an older style hotel with a relaxed atmosphere and plenty of public spaces in reception, bar, restaurant. The room had been cleverly refurbished with excellent bed, good carpet, and a good bathroom. We paid A$170, included hot breakfast. more

We stayed here over a long weekend and both my girlfriend and I were very impressed with the service and the atmosphere. We had a free cooked breakfast each morning, the paper was delivered to the door and all the in house movies were free and on demand. The hotel staff were helpful to any request. This hotel was great... more

I was married here in August 2005. We loved this place, we had relatives stay with me in the hotel the night before the wedding, we all had great meals and were treated like royalty. The staff were so helpful and did everything a very anxious bride asked! We will return here for our anniversaries! Also, I work in the... more

I rang this hotel which I might add -it takes them 8 years to answer or the line just drops out- as no-one is answering the phone!!! At a hotel!!I wanted to book a room for my parents on the following Thursday (ringing Saturday before) and my parents require a disabled access room. My credit card details were taken, my... more

This hotel has heaps of character, rooms beautifully appointed, large, clean, top shelf toiletries, large fluffy white towels. An enormous verandah out from the bar makes an ideal place to sit in the afternoon enjoying a cocktail. The front entrance to the hotel has a beautiful garden with splendid roses in full bloom. This hotel also houses the Australian International... more
