We have stayed in The Quest at Wagga Wagga so were expecting a high standard. Here are some thing I wrote down before I left to go home... The smell of the place reminded me of a guinea pig cage. Later when I had no shoes on, I noticed that the hall and kitchen carpet was wet, so that may... More

As I have recently taken over the management of Quest Canberra, I appreciate guest feedback on these matters. Spent 5 days at this Quest because of location only. The building goes back to 1920's and is single storied. The apartments are acceptable by Canberra standards but fall behind many of the newer Quests. I also accept comments made by other contributors about the noise but we were fortunate to have cold wet nights which minimised the yobos on... More

We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment for 2 nights at $330 per night. The room wasn't serviced while we were there, the entrance from the car park was through a dingy back alley, the mugs in the cupboard were filthy, but the biggest problem was the NOISE on Friday and Saturday night from the pub downstairs. The music reverberated... More

Thank you for your review. With Quest Canberra's central location we unfortunately do experience noise during the evening on weekend periods. Being located in the Melbourne Building, regarded as having some of the best restaurants and bars in the Canberra CBD we see many people come to the area and many people book with us for this reason. Our reception... More

The Quest in Canberra is in the right spot, but its like sleeping on the street. We could literally hear every conversation as people passed b on the street below. Every car, bus (of which there were many) that drove by, stopped conversation in our room. We had a 2 bedroom apartment that was tiny. There was no drawers in... More

Thank you for your review. Unfortunately our greatest asset (our location) does cause problems for some of our guests on weekend periods. Being located amongst some of the best restaurants and bars in the city does result in noise being an issue on weekend periods. With regards to our apartment size, we often get complimented on how large our two... More

Stayed Friday & Saturday night couldn't get to sleep because of the noise outside. On Saturday night my car was damaged while parked in the hotel car park. Quest although apologetic said there was nothing they could do.

We stayed in a onebedroom deluxe apartment. It was very spacious, the kitchen was fully equipped, big comfy bed, and for the reasonable price were impressed by the decor and comfort factor. Our room had a balcony and was right over the pub which concerned us at first but we couldn't hear anything on a Friday or Saturday night.

I stayed at the Quest Canberra over the Queens Birthday weekend. Firstly, I loved how it was in one of the original old buildings right in the centre of the city. If you don't have a car, you have to stay here as it's one block away from the city bus terminal, close to at least 3 supermarkets (a bonus... More

Having stayed in other Quest apartments we were very happy to book a stay in Canberra at the Quest as the location is fantastic with easy access to shops, cafes and restaurants. However, what they didn't tell us when we booked was the location of our room was right over a pub. This is not great when you have an... More

I had stayed at this property a few years back while visiting Canberra with family. The hotel was not by far up to a 4 star standard. I returned to Canberra recently, for work this time, and was very pleasantly surprised with the radical change in quality of rooms and customer service. Definitely recommend it!

Whilst the room had been refurbished to a good standard, the old wooden windows let in a lot of noise. When I stayed here in winter another time previously, these old windows let in the cold, also. The front desk closes at 10pm, not very convenient if you want to check in a bit late. The noise from the back... More
