The first room I was allocated was lovely with a verandah and French doors, alongside a comfortable bed and bathroom. However the street noise was unbearable and moving rooms was the only option as the windows and doors are not double glazed. I was offered three other rooms facing the courtyard. The first had a toilet that didn't stop running,... More

Pros: 1. Location!! 2. Decent lighting Cons: 1. Small, cramp rooms with very ill conceived designs. 2. Cheapest and most ridiculously small tv I have ever seen in any motel!! 3. Highly unsafe kitchenette with no ventilation. There are right in providing fire blankets in the room :) Old and crappy kitchenware. 4. Inconvenient power outlets. Moving the bed to... More

Stayed for three nights. The staff were friendly & efficient, the room was very good, but & here is the but, our table had 4 legs however only three were attached to the top. I suggest that possibly the cleaning staff check fixtures etc., when cleaning the rooms. Air conditioning was very variable, went from very good on first night... More

The staff were horrible, the rooms were tiny, the air conditioner was leaking and leaked all over my property, the "secure" car park was two blocks over and only had a single boom gate that anyone could walk up to and drive off with my car and overly expensive, the rooms were filthy, they didn't change our towels the night... The first room we were allocated had a strong unpleasant odour. When I opened the balcony door a lever from the above window fell down, narrowly missing my head. We complained to the always courteous and helpful staff and we were moved to another room. This room had a very noisy air conditioning unit in the living area, which also... More

We stayed here over a very quiet holiday period in Canberra (with 2 young children). Our apartment was large with two bathrooms and two bedrooms and facing both London Circuit and West Row. Loved the décor although there was an ugly cheap white plastic bin in the lounge which was really out of place (could have been placed in a... More

Whilst the staff were lovely and very welcoming, the noise levels from the street were totally unacceptable. The laneway onto which my room looked was the walkway for revellers until 1am (on a Tuesday night), only to be trumped by the garbage trucks that started at 4am and seemed to collect bins from the entire area whilst parked under the... This Quest is located in one of the buildings that might be referred to as an 'old dame' in Canberra. The staff were extremely helpful. Our apartment was of a good size, but the balcony was massive and overlooked the city. The building is showing some signs of wear and tear, but nothing that provided a negative. All the facilities... I stayed in one of the Quest's very spacious and comfortable studio apartments. It offered a large terrace (sadly not used - it was winter!), good kitchen facilities and well designed bathroom. Staff were very helpful. The room was quiet. The central location is near to a variety of restaurants and cafes.

About as central as you can get in Canberra city and located in the restaurant rich Melbourne Building the Quest Apartments provide a handy comfortable location. Nice building with some great atmosphere. I had a large room with large balcony- plenty of space and well appointed. Keep in mind this is located in a building of pubs and restaurants so... More
