I stayed here for a night and checked-in at about past 7 pm. It was a bit difficult to find the room though as it was a bit dark. Although I was alone, I was provided a suite with two bedrooms, one with a queen-sized bed and the other with two single beds (I wish I had brought my family!).... more

I had never visited Canberra before and was knocked out by how green and lovely it was - I'm glad we chose to stay in Kingston because it was like a little village with great cafes (Art Espresso!) The Griffin has a very weird statue of a griffin outside which looks pretty creepy after dark but this was good place... more

This hotel is ok, they water oscillates from hot to cold through out most the day. Rooms are in general clean. Be sure not to book a room on the busy street side of the hotel. The Internet also costs approximately a buck a minuet. I had to cut my trip short due to business in another location, and the... more

Stayed at the Griffin Suites Hotel in room 431. Pros: Very nice, very clean rooms, modern furnishings. Very helpful and pleasant staff upon arrival and when we had questions. Very good security for getting to the rooms, and good security for the car park as well. Located across the street from a smallish grocery, shopping area and lots of restaurants.... more

Good things: *Close to shops, restuurants and a supermarket (althought the supermarket in Kingston is super expensive). * Rooms are large and spacious * Bathroom amenities very good (although not replenished on additional nights) Bad things: *Restaurant seems to open when it feels like it * No room service * MEGA RIP OFF internet connection * Woeful gym - broken... more

Stayed 2 nights in a 2 room apartment. Nice deco, cozy, clean, bed is soft and comfortable. Enjoyed the jacuzzi. Location is convenient, supermarket and restaurants are just across the road. About 5 mins drive to the Old Bus Depot Sunday Market (one of my favourite) and 5-10mins drive to Manuka. Only drawback is no washing machine and dryer in... more

So, don't stay in this hotel if you want, you know... a hotel. It isn't a hotel, it's an all suites motel. Want your bags taken to your room (up three flights of stairs -- there is no lift)? Nope. Want them taken down again? Nope. Want the internet? It's the most expensive and the worst I've ever come across.... more

Stayed here quite some years ago. And it was good then. Now it appears to have had a recent refurb and it's really good. It's even better than it was. Stayed in a one bedroom apartment, really spacious as always, nicely equipped full kitchen, new bed and other nice large screen high-def TV. The furniture was all new, and so... more
