I have just spent two days at the recently refurnished Novotel Canberra, and what a great stay it was, room was so quiet & comfortable, it had great views and modern & clean. Food and beverage at the hotel was fantastic, wines selection impressive and Chris the Food and beverage manager looked after us so well. we will be back. more

Hotel room seemed to be more suited for a Single traveller rather than a Couple. (1 towel hook in bathroom only/tight squeeze to manouver around bathroom/ 1 lounge chair.) Not a fan of the shared balcony. Car park: very tight car spaces, and valet system needs to be assessed especially when being charged per night. Staff: zero personality. more

Thank you for your comments regarding your recent stay at Novotel Canberra, we use this feedback to try and improve our services. Some additional works are currently being carried out to improve the privacy of the balconies, and we are looking at different configurations in the rooms to improve both space and flow. Once again, I thank you for your...

we stayed during the long weekend..... nice rooms....need a bit more dusting... parking is a pain if you are driving a four wheel... free breakfasts... hmmmm .. we did not get the chance to enjoy that as there was a wait of 20 minutes both days...the girl on the counter ... very rude.... location is good... overall if you look... more

Our room was apparently refurbished .It was modern with a sparkling clean bathroom. The bed & pillows were very comfortable. It was facing a busy street but very, very quiet because of the double glazing. To us the main fault was the car-park system which had valet parking. This meant whenever you wanted to drive out it took an extra 20 minutes while they... more

Thank you for taking the time to post your review regarding Novotel Canberra. I appreciate your feedback regarding the hotel's car parking services, we use a valet system to control the car park as best we can, and to ensure that all our guests are provided a solution to car parking. I booked this hotel knowing that there was renovations happening, we intentionally asked for a room away from the upper floors and away from the bus terminal - thanks to the other reviewers! Check in was friendly and efficient, our room was ready upon check in (we arrived at 11:30), so I was happy the room was available. The room... more

A very disappointing stay to say the least. Arriving to the hotel the entrance to the car park is difficult to find, when getting into the car park it is like a rabbit warren, with minimal parking available and very tight, be careful not to go in too far, you will have difficulty getting out! When I contacted the reception... more

We stayed at the Novotel Canberra for one night on the way to Thredbo. Overall, the experience was fine. We managed to park in their secure underground car park, which was useful with all the ski gear we had, but we did arrive at 3pm and there were nowhere near enough spaces for all guests, so I would presume secure... more

Just got back from a lovely 5 day winter break in Canberra. Really enjoyed our stay at the Novotel. Room was very clean and furnishing very modern, and quality of fictures and fittings in room were very good. Also lovely in door pool and hot tub. Stayed on the first floor and there was no noise. Staff were very helpful and... more

What’s there to say ... I was there one night and I was glad? This is the only Novotel that seems to be more of a family gig than a business one. Room was good quality but noisy, restaurant was terrible, understaffed and full of kids on the night I was there. Lobby is in flux on renovations.. But the... more

Thanks for taking to the time to post your review. At Novotel, we do not endeavour to be either a Family OR Business hotel. In saying this, our general business trend is very much a corporate market Monday to Friday, then a Family and Leisure trend on weekends. The hotel is very popular with families, particularly on school holidays, due...

I have just returned from a 3 night stay at the Novotel Canberra and I must say - they have tried to improve on the breakfast buffet. Reading the reviews listed here, I was prepared for the worst but must say that it was quite 'adequate'. They had the usual 4-5 varieties of breakfast cereals and selection of different milk... more
