Stay here several times a year. It is an elegant lady aging gracefully with 1920's roots but modern amenities. The staff are consistently friendly and engaged. Afternoon tea in the foyer is a must. Exec lounge adequate .... and more a function of the budget allocation rather than the staff.

We stayed here for 3 nights. a beautifully designed hotel inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright. It was the first public building built in Canberra in 1924. Large rooms, there are lifts but we walked the stairs and corridors. Gives you a good idea of the size of the hotel. Staff were very friendly and doormen dressed in wonderful outfits.

This property has to be one of my most favorite hotel properties in the world, every time I have to stay overnight in Canberra I choose to stay here and have done so for years, however this is my first review of the Hyatt Canberra. Its timeless and elegant, the staff are always attentive and you know what to expect... More

From the moment you enter the Canberra (Hyatt) Hotel you will be impressed. You are met by friendly and attentive staff, the rooms are spacious and well appointed. The facilities and food are excellent. Located next door to old parliment house is idea for business or pleasure.

I have stayed at a few 5 and 6 star hotels and the Hyatt Canberra comes very close. They have the best coffee in Canberra, you do pay for it though. Rooms, service, cleanliness, pool, venue is all excellent. The food is good but not excellent. Especially considering how much they charge. I would consider staying there again, if there... More

Spent a gorgeous afternoon with a friend, sipping on sparkling wine and working our way through a huge array of savoury and sweet treats. The scones were light and fluffy, the sandwiches fresh and replaced frequently. The lounge was immaculate and the staff attentive. And it was very reasonably priced to boot!

I think if I were reviewing this hotel just on its own, it would be 5 stars. I loved the location, and the art deco is something I don't normally get to see. However, I found that the rooms just weren't up to other properties on my trip, such as the Park Hyatt Sydney or Grand Hyatt Melbourne, even though... More

This is a nice working hotel. Plenty of places to sit and have meetings and coffee. I guess it was built in the 1930's and the doormen are dressed accordingly which puts a nice touch to the place. Low level building thus is it sprawled over a large area to accommodate just under 250+ rooms. The staff were very attentive,... More

We have stayed here many times and it is always very special. I guess we are so used to small functional hotel rooms that it is always a surprise to be welcomed by the Hyatt Canberra"s grandeur . The staff are welcoming with out being sycophantic ,the rooms just so large and luxurious - it's the bees knees of hotels... More
