Had a lovely stay here. Room very clean & roomy. Tastefully decorated. Hotel facilities were quite good. We booked a deal on line that included a breakfast each morning. Buffet had a great selection and was lovely on the first morning. The second morning though the food was cold, but was rectified after it was brought to their attention. The... more

We paid $199 for a loft room with dinner and breakfast, that was for 3. Spare bed made with toiletries and towels etc already there, no problems with check in ..they even let me pay on check in so that we could get an early start. Bistro is just a bar, good food and cheap beer..suited us fine Breakfast had... more

The Olims Hotel, historically born as the Hotel Ainslie in the nation’s capital is an Accor-affiliated hotel built in English-Deco style from the late 1920’s but seems more like an RSL run by the restaurant staff from a Chinese, confused & noisy Like all classic-style buildings with some sort of heritage, the Olims Hotel has that one room with a... more

I used to live in the area, so I was somewhat familiar with Olims before I booked it. Additionally, my parents had stayed here before so I was aware of the general state of the hotel. I chose to stay there on this trip as it is reasonably priced for Canberra, and is in a good location for what I... more

Booked a Degas package. Checked in, hotel looks clean from outside, nice green bushes etc. Room as per package was a 'Queen Superior' but was quite disappointing. Website says we should have had a 42" plasma..wasn't a plasma. Ironing board was bent with cover fallen off, etc The looks of the room was tired.... DID WE GET THE QUEEN SUPERIOR... more

Have stayed at Olims a few times before and always found it to be handy and comfortable - this time was no exception - my husband was thrilled to only have to walk 600m to the war memorial - and I had a similar walk to Civic to the joys of Christmas shopping - fab new linked up centre they... more

The Olims Hotel is a comfortable, but tired hotel. I was most impressed with the fact that the rooms are two-story lofts. This is cool, but the furniture is out-dated. The room is large with the bedroom and bathroom upstairs. There was a large flat-screen television and a small kitchen with a small fridge, dishwasher, microwave, sink and a bar... more

We took 6 Rooms for our group in the old section of the hotel. The rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet (but stay in the wing away from the bar area). The Hotel is quite close to Restaurants and shopping (4blocks) and only 3 blocks easy stroll to the War Memorial. The Hotel has a courtesy bus, however it appeared... more

On our two-week trip through Australia, the Olims was our least favorite of the four hotels we stayed at. We booked it online because we thought it would be a good value hotel and convenient to the wonderful War Memorial. It's true it was easily within walking distance of the memorial, so that was a plus, but we were disappointed... more

This motel had a nice atmosphere with an old worldy garden in the middle. The restaurant was quite nice, and the room was ok. The room was quite small and unfortunately overlooked the roof and the airconditioning system on the roof. This particular room therefore was noisy all night. Although the staff were excellent and the location was fabulous the... more
