Arrived yesterday after a 3 hour drive with room not ready. Hotel staff member at front desk could not tell me how long a wait until it would be ready. Possibly 45 minutes maybe 60, but said they would call to let me know when ready. We had a function to go to an hour later and wanted to have... More

Dear Bianca, Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at the Burbury Hotel. I would like to aplogise for the miscommunication on our end regarding the cooktop in a Burbury Suite that was not available during your stay. I believe that you were offered two possible solutions whilst staying at the hotel. You were offered: Solution 1... More

We had room 114 which was large and stylish. Plenty of tech gadgets including iphone dock and Apple Mini , TV was nicely built-in and had a few pay channels as well as standard local channels, wi-fi was free and reliable. The bathroom featured a shower only but the shower head was adjustable to different heights - and had nice... More

We stayed here for 1 night whilst attending the James Blunt concert. We booked this hotel as a 'mystery hotel' & were very happy with the price we paid for the quality of the hotel. The rooms decor was modern & we loved the separate bathroom area that was cleverly designed. The only downside to this hotel is that the... More

My room at the hotel was very spacious, well equipped and had a very large and comfortable bed. The tiled floors and large bathroom gave the room an almost executive feel, however the lighting in the room, particularly in the main living area was quite low for my liking. Reception staff were very friendly and room service was good but... More

Room was spacious, needed better lighting but modern decor and great bed. Pool was a lap pool so only 2 lanes and across the road, swimming cap compulsory but can loan one if needed. Did not use restaurant closed Sunday and Monday night, had great pizza at sister hotel opposite. Close for sightseeing but remote for restaurants and pubs, Kingston... More

Overall Burbury is a great hotel, but only really appropriate if you are there for business near parliament. The overall presentation of the hotel is very slick and stylish - the rooms are quite dark and atmospheric, possibly a little too dark to be practical, but otherwise very neat and comfortable. My one issue with Burbury is that you are... More

Very attractive room, BUT attention to detail severely lacking! Our room was way too dark, and what lighting there was was ineffectual or faulty. One bedside light didn't work, neither did the light in the fridge. Toilet light could not be turned off and because it was only behind a glass partition, the light bothered me all night. Clock had... More

Got a great deal on Last Minute and saved a fortune. Great hotel, staff were pleasant and helpful. the room was well appointed and airy. Located in a great location to the centre of Canberra and not far from Kingston and Manuka, great eateries around.

We stayed at the Burbury for one night only (I wish it was more!) as a pit-stop from Nowra, NSW to Victoria. We really enjoyed our stay here and made use of the gym and pool. The disappointing thing was that it was located across the road in another building! The hotel itself is very glamourous and inviting, I loved... More

We really enjoyed our stay here! We visited Canberra during Floriade, so as you can imagine, people from all over the country are flocking here and hotel accommodation is at a premium! Given this, at $240 a night, including breakfast, we found this quite reasonable, especially considering a night at a similar hotel in Sydney will set you back $400... More
