Me and 2 friends stayed here for 2 nights to go to Canberra zoo to do a behind the scene's tour. We had three singe beds (1 on top as a bunk and the 2 below with a little room between them.). The beds were very comfy and that was probably the only good thing about the room! The bathroom... more

We picked this place for clean cheap overnite accomodation. The female manager was very friendly and helpful but the first room we were put in was already occupied causing an embarassing incident. The next room had an annoying ticking sound coming from the electrical light fitting which drove us mad when trying to get some sleep. We asked for another... more

We stayed here last week for two nights. The room was ok, about as much as you would expect for the cheapest accommodation available in Canberra. On the evening of our 2nd night stay (about 5pm), my partner started noticing red itchy bites starting to appear. Originally we thought they were mosquito bites, but after I had a look at... more

Formule 1 hotels seem to get bagged out a lot on these pages, but the thing is that you always know what you're getting with them: clean, convenient, basic accommodation at a really good price. Sometimes I enjoy going for something a bit more special, but when I'm passing through, I can't always justify spending extra money when all I... more

We left a more expensive hotel for this one, as the other was a rip off. While this hotel didn't charge much, and more and it would have been a rip off. We knew we were in for budget accomodation, but not like this! The room consisted of a double bed on the floor, with a single bunk bed above.... more

This hotel looked fine on the website. When we arrived we were a little let down to say the least. While the room was clean (no problems with this) it was very small and the bathroom was a fibreglass shell which reminded me of a caravan bathroom. There was no tolietries, no hair dryer, no fridge,no kettle. There was a... more

Normally you can rely on the Formule 1 Hotel chain to provide a cheap but clean hotel room in a handy location. While the Formule 1 Canberra is cheap, it was neither clean nor handy. Located near the ACT northen Border, you can't walk to any attractions, cafes or shops (except the neighbouring service station) but can only get about... more

I have stayed at several Formule 1 hotels and you know what you are going to get with these rooms and that is basic accomodation. Most rooms have a queen bed and a bunk over the top all have a tiny bathroom with toilet and shower. For the single traveller the rooms are ideal for the cost conscious. Rooms are... more
