We stayed her for two nights and it was a truly memorable experience. Only an hour from Fes, Bhalil is easy to reach via Sefrou - and its a welcomed relief from the bustle of Fes. The guesthouse itself is beautiful, clean and boasts an incredible roof top terrace. Rooms are large, well furnished, and cool in the evenings -... More

If you are looking to have a taste of authenticity on your trip to Morocco...this is the place. Bhalil is a sleepy, gentle village and a short walk will afford you real contact with local villagers, artisans and the daily rhythm of untouched simplicity and beauty. My stay at Dar Kamal Chaoui was friendly, welcoming and homelike. Kamal and Naima... More

Dar Kamal Chaoui is a charming and beautifully decorated guesthouse in Bhalil. Each room is distinctly different and comfortable. Kamal is a fantastic host and the food is really delicious and abundant. I would strongly recommend stopping here on the way to Fez and spend a night or two discovering the beauty and uniqueness of Bhalil. You won't be disappointed.

We stayed here on Easter break 2015, just me and my partner. We wanted some peace and quiet after 2 days in Fes.The wonderful owner is what makes this Dar a truly special place. I've never met a more welcoming and helpful host in all my travels. The guest house is a typical Moroccan Dar, with beautiful furniture, rugs and... More

After a few days in Fez we wanted some peace and fresh air - and this is definately the place for that. The decor is lovely, Kamal is great company and the food, cooked by the charming Naima, is to die for! She does a super three course meal for 16 euros - and the breakfasts are amazing too. Will... My friend and I stayed 2 nights. The guesthouse was very welcoming with beautiful interior décor and warm hosts, with THE BEST food I have had in Morocco (this was my second trip to Morocco). The breakfast was served on the terrace with a view of the village and mountains. So very picturesque. The different tours and excursions that the... More

I stayed here with my boyfriend and it was incredible. Kamal picked us up from Fez and he made us feel instantly settled and welcome. We had supper with Kamal, his cook and friends Niama, Dounya and Meryem. We had a lot fun and it was a really good opportunity to find out more information about the area. We stayed... More

My girlfriend and I booked to stay at this guesthouse without really knowing what to expect. We had decided to go to Morocco on a whim and spent a couple of nights in Fez before heading out to Bhalil. Kamal (the owner of the guest house) was very helpful and even came to Fez to collect us and bring us... More
