I would agree that the ladies changing facilities needs a revamp. It is dark and not enough individual cubiciles. I guessed it was local children having swimming lessons which I earwigged asI am not a confident swimmer. The pain was their monopolising the changing rooms and hairdrier. I did not like to see abandoned plates of food in cafe area... More

For my birthday my wife booked an overnight stay at this hotel. The reception staff were excellent and were warm welcoming and friendly. The young lady asked if we were there for a special occasion and when they discovered it was my birthday we were given a voucher for two free drinks. Our room was comfortable but an average size.... Enjoyed a very good stay here for my Mum, on an overnight spa break. The food was fantastic, as was the rooms. I very much enjoyed the spa and pool facilities, but do be aware when booking that children use the pool (if this is something that bothers you!). My only slightly complaint would be that the changing rooms need... More

My friend and I have just returned from a mid week break at Slaley Hall, this was our 2nd visit. The rooms are lovely and on the whole the hotel is very comfortable however the service is shambolic. We arrived at 12.30 and decided to have lunch in the Claret Jug which we really enjoyed on our previous stay. It... More

Before we arrived for our stay we did ring up to discuss some unusual eating habits and arranged for one meal to be brought from one restaurant to another. When we arrived there was no record of this conversation so had to go through it all again this was done for us in the end. As check in time was... More

Visited with a friend on a busy Saturday afternoon, the dining room and service were great, however definetly not the best afternoon tea I have had. The choice of tea was superb, not much in the way of savoury, I did not think much of the sandwiches and personally would have preferred a savoury scone instead of one plain and... More

Peter and I and four friends stayed at Slayley Hall for a birthday occasion and the experience once again was amazing. The welcome we received was second to none, the reception staff so accommodating and pleasant, the rooms excellent and could not be faulted but the icing on the cake were the staff in the 19th Bar they never seem...
