Hi I stayed for one night with my fiancée on the 15th April for 1 Night, first off all check in was great very friendly and helpful, once we got to our room 341 there was a long hair in the bath, the toilet door handle had toothpaste all over the handle and the door, we were suppose to have... Stayed here for one night for our anniversary. Booked online and got what was described as a standard room. It was just that, nothing exciting whatsoever, pretty average, no fridge, no view...standard. Shame as the common areas of the hotel are lovely, the staff, bar the snooty ones on the reception, were all nice and helpful. The food, which we... More

We have visited Slaley Hall some time ago but booked a 2 nights B&B package recently. Overall we enjoyed our stay and found the new ( to us) décor and lay-out generally good. We were in a bedroom on the third floor with a pleasant view which we found fine . The breakfast and service was all very good. the... More

Where to start, I have never seen such poor service in my life. We arrived at 10.30am all selected evening meals in plenty of time......? Then the municipal condition championship course more sand on greens than in the bunkers. Anyway on to the evening meal 24 blokes all ordered at 10.30 that morning 2 meals 45 mins after the rest,... Lovely venue but most disappointing afternoon tea, wouldn't recommend it. Three finger sandwiches which were extremely thin, not even appetising fillings, grated cheese, ham and tune with mayo, I explained I was vegetarian and was told my partner would have to eat the ones I couldn't!. Scones were nice but selection of bite size cake disappointing that we didn't eat... More

Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast superb, but evening meal disappointing. Check in and out was efficient. Spa facilities excellent, when we were able to find it. Could do with more signage. Another one off my bucket list.

Having booked Slaley Hall Spa day for a hen group we were very disappointed at the service. The pool was freezing, couldn't get in the jacuzzi as there was a group sat in there for ages, not relaxing at all as there was children running around. We ordered lunch, waited an hour (the food was nice when it arrived) whilst... More

I have stayed at Slaley Hall before last September and was in no rush to come back. However, there are often vouchers/offers for Slaley so I decided to travel here again to see if it had improved and for the price and what is included compared to other spa hotels seems reasonable. Starting with the negatives... Perhaps a bit of... More

I stayed at Slaley Hall on a management conference. Very polite and friendly staff and the conference facility was excellent. Lunch was ok if a little bland, Evening meal was a good standard. Breakfast service was good, prompt service with Coffee and Toast however the foods was luke warm. The price of drinks was what you would expect (expensive) and... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Not 100, not 500 but 1000 acres of Northumberland moorland and forest play home to this magnificent, elegant Edwardian mansion. That the interiors are almost as dramatic as the exterior says it all. This is very old world grandeur with a modern twist. Bask in the warmth of the reception you receive on arrival, dine at Hadrian's Brasserie, or at the Duke's Grill. Indulge with a vichy water spa treatment or just flop in the fantastic indoor pool. The great outdoors doesn’t get much greater. After a bracing country walk in the wilds, or round on our championship golf course, retire to the Claret Jug and the 19th Bar for a stiff brandy. Surely you deserve it ? ... more   less
