Finding somewhere that can accommodate elderly parents with mobility issues (so needing ground floor accommodation) and sister/her partner with 3 small dogs, over the festive season, with a little home-from-home luxury, is not an easy task. Suzannah and Marcus gave us everything we needed and then some, including a lovely welcome and superb breakfast. Arthur's Stable and The Master Bedroom... More

We stayed here for one night when we attended a wedding in Southwell. Suzannah was extremely accommodating and friendly allowing us to check in earlier so we could get to the wedding. The house is absolutely beautiful, it has such a warm homely feel to it and our room was very comfortable and had everything we needed in it. Suzannah... More

Bags of character, warm, comfortable and spacious with lots of added touches: local apple juice, home-baked flapjacks, complimentary bottles of water, log-burning stove, watching TV from the roll-top bath - such decadence! A great base for visiting local sights such as Southwell Minster. We felt fortunate to have stayed here and would be happy to return should we be in... More

Suzannah was absolutely wonderful, lively, and welcoming. Our family had finished a very long day of driving and we were so grateful to have a quiet place to rest our heads. Suzannah's hosting (and apple juice) was so refreshing and welcoming. If we are passing through Norwell again we will most definitely be staying at Willoughby House again!

I stopped overnight at Willoughby House enroute to Scotland from Gloucestershire. After a very long drive,as soon as I arrived I knew it was a perfect choice. Suzannah and her family were so welcoming and my room was wonderfully comfortable, warm, and stylish with a big pile of books and magazines to flick through whilst I had a cup of... More

We chose Willoughby House as a stopover en route to Northumberland as it was about half way to our destination and near the A1 but unlike the other guests who have stayed here we had no warm friendly welcome. We had to let ourselves in, which we managed only after making a phone call to someone to get the security code... I am sorry that you found your stay disappointing . We have an entrance code system at Willoughby House which means you generally do not see anybody until breakfast. Most of our regulars enjoy this open house policy however it does not suit you if you prefer a welcome in person. We aim to be accessible by telephone at all... More

Myself and a friend stayed here last night, we were over this way for a friends wedding at Norwood House. The room was amazing with some really nice little touches. The breakfast this morning was an excellent cure to the wine consumed last night and I've never slept so well. Everywhere was clean and had a boutique feel to it.... More

Lovely place. The house had bags of charm and was very quirky. Great breakfast on both mornings and a really comfy bed. Lots of nice touches in the room and the welcome was warm, helpful and friendly.

What a little gem in the most quaint little English village that you will ever come across. You get there through winding country roads and park right by the property. The owners are very nice and thoughtful, and you should speak with them on the phone if you plan to arrive late. The village pub is open until about10 p.m.... More
