The best hotel we've ever stayed in by far. Clean, relaxed, comfortable and beautiful. The best thing about it is the lovely staff who were so helpful and just genuinely nice. Отель понравился своим дизайном и обслуживанием, персонал приветлив. Понравилось также большое обилие света из окон. Приятно было находиться там, в вечернее время, придя уставшим после осмотра городских достопримечательностей.Все очень... More
- Official Description (provided by the hotel):
- AboutThe name Barvikha rings a bell for every Russian. The most expensive Moscow suburb, it hosts the residence of Russia’s first President. Barvikha is where big business meets politics, culture meets science, Russia meets the world, and ancient tradition merges into bold innovation.Barvikha Hotel & SPA opens the doors to this forbidden realm. Now you don’t have to be a day visitor but a host who stays a night or a week or a month: a truly unique opportunity.DesignComfort, relaxation and tranquillity are the three mottos of Barvikha Hotel & SPA. Every minute detail of the hotel’s design has been honed by one of today’s most sought-after designers, Antonio Citterio.Elegant simplicity is the trademark style of this illustrious artist. Antonio Citterio favours natural wood and stone. He is greatly inspired by the element of fire, thus the hotel has four fireplaces, and is also meticulous about small details –nothing is left to chance: doorknobs or lights, sofas or in-built closets - everything matters.Mild, soft, and homely, the colour scheme of the hotel evokes pleasant overtones of coffee, cream and chocolate. The faint twinkling of gold and silver is merely a playful nod to traditional palace hotels. The soft light glows through glass structures and reflects from polished surfaces, as if welcoming guests to a crystal fairytale.Antonio CitterioAntonio Citterio is the symbol of new Italian design. Born in 1950 in Meda, a town in the vicinity of Milan, Antonio Citterio started learning design at 13. His first award came at 18 for an upholstery project. Ever since, Signor Citterio won the most prestigious awards for design and architecture. Some of his creations have found a well-deserved place in the collections of the world’s greatest museums, including the New-York Museum of Modern Art and the Centre Pompidou in Paris. His architectural projects include the restoration of the Brera Gallery in Milan and the Bvlgari Hotels in Milan and on Bali. Citterio is active in the fashion world: his interior designs serve as premium settings for displays of elite Italian couture brands. He designs and coordinates image for Cerruti, Emanuel Ungaro, Stefanel and Zegna Sport for Ermenegildo Zegna.Philosophy of BeautyTogether with neighbouring Zhukovka, Barvikha forms the geographic and emotional centre of the Rublevo-Uspenskoe Highway popularly known as Rublevka. During the construction of Barvikha Luxury Village, many predicted that the village would give Rublevka’s residents and guests a dramatically new vision of good and bad. And so it did: nowadays it’s no secret that so-called luxury is mostly about good taste, taking care of oneself and others, and fitting into time and place.Barvikha Luxury Village offers vast shopping opportunities at its thirty boutiques of the world’s leading brands, whereas its restaurants will cater to the most demanding tastes. Yet the biggest luxury offered at Barvikha is the one hardest to find in the 21st century: the luxury of human company. One of the reasons behind establishing Barvikha Hotel & SPA was to make sure that this luxury is no longer on short supply. Barvikha Hotel & SPA is not just a hotel but a meeting point: a kind of club for people who have made enough to stop talking about money.GeographyIn the right place at the right time.Barvikha Hotel & SPA is three traffic lights away from the Kremlin and just eight kilometres from the Moscow Ring Road. You drive the entire eight kilometres through a relict pine forest. The River Moskva just visible behind the amber pines, the lovely growths of hazelnut and spruce all form the fanciful landscape which has won Rublevka the nickname of ‘Switzerland near Moscow’.West winds prevail in the local wind rose. For the famous purity of its air, Rublevka has to thank both the vast forests lying to the west of the Russian capital and the fact that this highway does not host a single industrial enterprise. All the way, you only find villas, cottages, wharfs, restaurants, beauty parlours, fishing clubs, cycling lanes and skiing routes – in short, a first-class holiday infrastructure. Barvikha Hotel & SPA is a chance to be exposed to every advantage and none of the downsides of a metropolitan city. ... more less
