I stayed here for the long Memorial Day weekend and it was a great time. If you're looking for a quaint Vermont B&B, look elsewhere. This inn is super cool, with modern architectural design, crisp clean bedding, and not a single antique in sight. I stayed in Stargazer room, and it makes the maximum use every nook and cranny in... stone·wall (stōn′wôl′) a. To engage in delaying tactics; stall: "stonewalling for time in order to close the missile gap" (James Reston). b. To refuse to answer or cooperate. ------------- Love the architecture and design of this place. No detail is left behind. This place lives and dies by the aesthetic. However, if you want warm and welcoming service, you'll need... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here and we loved loved loved it! We picked an odd time of year where it wasn't quite warm enough to swim but the service and personal care we received was amazing! The owners are very knowledgable about art and have quite a collection they weren't shy about showing us. They made us feel like... More

My husband and I were skiing on the weekend and we stayed in the stone wall inn. We were very impressed about the architecture of the building, the service and everything what it came with it! After skiing when we went back, we set by the wood burning stove, there was a light music in the background, it was great!... More

No matter how beautiful, odd, ugly or unique a place is it's the vibes on the inside that make it what it is. We found this to feel more like living with a passive aggressive roommate who left many little notes around on what and how to do things properly. It is more similar to a youth hostel then a... Sean L, General Manager at A Stone Wall Inn, responded to this review

I am sorry you did not enjoy the style of our inn. We have exactly 4 signs up: You mentioned two of them, the others being to close the outside door after you enter, and that only staff are allowed to operate wood stoves. All but one of these signs, the toilet sign (more on that later) is safety related.... More

This was our second time at a Stone Wall in. Our first visit was in February, 2014. Since then, Stone Wall in has become even better! They have a new common living room section and more housekeeping services. This time we stayed in the Pond's view room and it felt like sleeping in a tree house. Beautiful design. This time... More

My husband and I spent 2 nights at the Inn this December and had a wonderful time! We have been blessed with snow early this year and there were concerns of there not being electricity at the Inn but there was and we had a great time. The place was encased in mounds of beautiful snow, a true winter wonderland.... More

Spent a night at A Stone Wall Inn in Windham, VT. The Inn is a modern architecture marvel. I could spend a week here just admiring the enormously creative work of owner and architect Bob Shannon, and tour the gardens put together by Bob, and Steven Fellows. A showplace of creativity. So refreshing. Sean, the inn manager has the whole... More

It's hard to explain just how fantastic this place is so I'll just tell you what we did and you can decide whether it sounds perfect to you. We printed out the directions from the website and found the Inn with no problem at all, registered quickly and easily with the delightful owner, and headed to our room in the... More

My husband and I stayed at this resort back in October of 2013. We had a nice and relaxing weekend. It is a perfect place if you want to get off the grid. There is very little cell service if any, but the hotel does have complimentary (I believe) wifi. The grounds keeper was very nice and informative (and an... More
