We were staying in Ploen from 26th- 29th July 14. Receptionist greeted us with such a pleasant and welcoming smile and room was brand new, clean and worth for money that we paid since we got it for discounted rate and decided to continue staying there. Will stay here again in our future visit. Prem & Gaya, Penang.

I read reviews inferring that the Hotel was refurbished and all complete. This was not the case when I arrived early July. The roof bar/café was closed and the lifts were out of action and being worked on. Noise would start quite early ! I had to be moved from my first room because of the works going on. Would... More

On my arrival in Koh Samui I stayed in Al's resorts on Chaweng Beach, I paid 2,500 BHTs Around $85US, per night, the room was small, with a super small bathroom, and also the TV was so old it reminded me of the black/white tv that my grand father used. After a few days of research I found Ploen hotel... More

Check out the photos on their own website, it has just been renovated and it actually looks the way it does on their website. We stayed 4 nights. Out of the 10 different hotels we have stayed in in Thailand on this trip this was out favourite. Brand new, super clean, everything works and the staff is so friendly and... More

We stumbled across this place and as current going through refurbishment the rooms were only 950 baht cheaper than a lot of dorms. The staff are really helpful and the rooms are amazing and so very clean. Bathroom is stunning also. The rooms on internet are 1800 per night so would suggest u know whilst refurb it's 50% off. The... More

Nice place to stay, simple but effective. Pros: + Good Wifi + Good Location + Good Value + Nice Staff (one night we bought dinner in a local place, and they lend us plates, spoons, etc) + You have a PC to use freely Cons: - Third floor is REALLY noisy (specially during the night) due to the pool on... This place is impossible to find! If you come in on a taxi tell them it's next to Fuji, the Japanese restaurant! We lost a lot of money, and time, on them. Noone has heard of it, and the address given on google is sooo wrong. The hotel is just off the main road, and so is much quieter. It... More

Excellent location, close to beach, shops, main street without the noise! Beautiful rooms, so clean! The staff are extremely helpful and welcoming. Excellent value for money (We walked in off the street and were offered an impressive reduced rate!)

We didnt trust those few bad reviews and so we checked in on the friday and checked out half a day later and 5000 baht lighter. It is seriously the worst excuse for a hotel I have ever visited in the WORLD. The pool is neglected and disgusting. It hasnt been cleaned since prehistoric times...and even the dinosaurs decided against... More
