This is really my second home when I am in Auckland, which I am several times a year. Owned by a Licencing Trust, a lot of the profits are ploughed straight back into the hotel. Situated on the Panmure basin, there are great views from the Lagoon facing rooms. There is a great walking circuit around the lagoon, with various... More

I stayed here for my now father-in-law's wedding. The rooms were clean and well kept, though my room had no tub, and just a curtain covering the part of the bathroom where the shower was located. The staff was friendly, but their helpfulness was limited by their what appeared a lack of basic knowledge about their own hotel/guests. They were... More

My family and I had to stay at this hotel due to location. When we arrived and asked for assistance with our bags, we were given the bag trolley. Once we had finished with this, I called reception and asked for it to be removed. The next morning, it was still in the hallway... Upon arrival in our room, I... More

I have just slept on the best bed ever - so incredibly comfortable that I do not want to get out and the view over the lake is spectacular.... I think I will just stay here all day. Great spacious room and fabulous bathroom - we will be back

We stayed here over the new year for 5 days. On New Years eve the bar closed at 11pm despite there being a large party of paying guests wanting to celebrate the new year. The management don't have a clue about what makes good customer service. The pool is filthy and wasn't cleaned once during our stay. The hot tubs... More

Dear Guest Thank you for taking the time to write a review on our hotel. We are obviously concerned by your comments. It sounds like we got off to a bad start with New Year's Eve. In regard to this, we have held New Year's celebrations in the past and found that the vast majority of people preferred to be... More

Rooms were very roomy and well appointed. We had a family gathering in a Suite and it was great. Just wish we could have been closer together having booked four rooms in total but next time. We will re visit this venue. Breakfast was really good and reasonably priced compared with other Hotels in the area. Lovely coffee on the... More

Still nothing after repeated attempts and asking. My sisters jewellery was stolen out of their room as well as the jewellery of another couple that attended the wedding. They are indifferent and have offered no help in this matter - so despite the wedding being nice we'll never stay here again and I would advise others not to.

When our group arrived for our conference I thought the hotel was looking promising. The room was an upgrade to VIP which seems to mean a mezzanine bedroom. trouble is the bathroom is downstairs next to the entry door so any requirements during the night for the bathroom is fraught with danger. Steep narrow stairs down to the lounge area... More

I stay at Waipuna for regular business trips with our offices located south of Auckland city. The staff are outstanding and the rooms are spacious and comfortable, but a little tired (hence the 4 stars). While I wouldn't recommend this hotel for a family holiday, it is a great location if you have your family travelling with you on business,... More
