Just stayed at the Cross Keys in Tebay over the weekend 17/18th Jan 2015 , excellent food, beer and wine. Tony and the staff very friendly. The food is wonderful,the black pudding and bacon starter is delicious.A warm and cosy inn,we stayed in the chalets nice and warm and comfortable.Cannot fault the place. if you want good food and beer this is the place to stay.We are going back next year.

I have now had the mega burger twice and failed to finish both meals. With black pudding and blue cheese on it, it is fantastic. Three real ales - Hobgoblin, Black Sheep and Wainwrights and all on top performance.

Having just Had a 2 night stay at this lovely Inn I would recommend a visit. It is dog friendly and we took our dog the room was nice and clean and the Inn is full of character. Very welcoming hosts and the food was very good. Had a very enjoyable break.

This is our second visit to this place when we have been in the area, haven't used as a bed and breakfast so can't comment on that but it's still great place to pop in for some gorgeous food, great cosy atmosphere especially this time of the year when they have the fire burning it's just really nice. Having just returned from a 2 night stay in this very welcoming pub. Nothing was a trouble to Tony and his staff. Nice to see that dogs were welcome - although we left ours at home. Welcomed on arrival and shown to room.Excelent food room and service, only dawback was second breakfast asked for kippers but lady denied any knowledge of availability (even when shown on chalkboard ) for bar snacks

Thank you for your review and the good comments.. The kippers are not on our breakfast menu we took them off, the ones you saw were on the specials board for lunch or evening meals, the housekeeper would have known nothing about them. Hence her not being able to help you, sorry. More

Stayed here with my husband and daughter from 26-28th October. Our break was bought via a voucher from Amazon and was exceptional value. Tony made us feel very welcome as did all his staff, excellent food great value for money, accommodation comfortable,clean, warm and inviting definitely a must on any travelers list. highly recommend Janet and Alan
