Ambience and welcome just what I want from a country pub. If I'm back in this area I WILL come back. Cannot fault... More

The room was basic but clean and good value, most importantly the bed was comfortable. In the evening I had a delicious meal in the pub and spent... More

I read a review on here recently by a so called Chef and I use that word lightly from the Penrith area. All I can say is I have worked the last 8 years in a very high profile business self employed and before that probably better. Point one if you were a Chef you would have a little bit... More

We stayed overnight on the 19th June in a lovely garden room, very clean and cheerful with a nice veranda overlooking the garden. The food was fabulous at dinner although the portions were massive! The staff were very pleasant and the overall atmosphere was relaxes and welcoming. We shall certainly be staying here again

We stayed in one of the garden rooms which had all we needed and was clean and comfortable, the staff were very friendly and the food was great, we had taken our dog with us who was also welcome which just made our stay complete, would use again.
