I totally enjoyed my solo stay here at this cute inn. It was the first thatched anything I ever stayed in and it was a pleasure. The room I had was upstairs in the building apart from the pub and it was very quiet. I could open the window and get fresh air which was very nice. I had a... More

We have been coming to this pub for years. Firstly, it was a quaint village pub serving a good selection of food and drink and a very pleasant visit. However, since Fullers have taken it over, they re decorated, turned the funny little thatch restaurant next to it into a small boutique hotel ( we never fully got what was... More

We arrived a bit early but we're allowed into our room (7). It's a very nice twin room with a great walk in shower. The level of cleanliness was very high, which you noticed even more with the shower room being white, it was very clean. The breakfast was very good, with a wide selection on the self service table... More

We had a good sized spotlessly clean twin room on the ground floor with a view onto the car park and they provide face cloths!!!. The beds were very comfy with lovely cotton bedding. These two beautiful thatched buildings are wedged between 2 roads but once the windows are closed you can't hear the traffic. What you do hear is... More

The staff were very good and friendly. We arrived really early morning (international arrival) so was way ahead of the checkin in time, but we were offered coffee and toast while they tried their best to give us a room. The restaurant's food is very good as is evident in the locals' support.

This is a delightful, picturesque hotel/ pub. Just in the new forest, this pair of thatched buildings is just wonderful. The service was impeccable and the food fantastic. It wasn't expensive but we felt we had 5 star treatment. Lovely, we shall be coming back!

We had a meal at the Inn which was also excellent, my husband had a steak meal & I had a Ploughmans Lunch. The staff can't do enough for you, polite & friendly. It is... More

We picked this hotel as close to the motor museum. It was very hot in the room we stayed in. But we were not disappointed with the room. Breakfast was ok. nothing to rave about. We would use again if in the area. Staff were friendly. Good value for price paid.

This was our second stay and we were not disappointed. They look after you so well, dinner great and breakfast cooked to order. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. We were just looking for a relaxing overnight stay after a really busy week at work, that's exactly what we got. Thank you guys!

I was always a great fan of this picturesque inn,but after a recent visit I was very disappointed. There was an unpleasant smell on entering the restaurant, and on further investigation it appeared to be coming from the gents toilet, which my friend confirmed. The ladies, thankfully was immaculate. We found the menu tired and lacklustre - very little in... More
