We stayed for two nights and loved the quiet beauty of Resurgence. Claire and Peter were welcoming hosts to this 5.5 acre island of serenity near the madness that can be Abel Tasman. We had the Kahurangi Point Bush Lodge, which was a lovely, very private unit. There was a bedroom and bath upstairs, and a living room area with... More

We stayed here for three nights while exploring Abel Tasman on our honeymoon. The lodge cabin was a wonderful and private place to stay. The lodge we stayed in was beautifully appointed with stunning views across the valley. We dined at the Resurgence on our first night. Claire's cooking is excellent and the meal a highlight of our stay here.... More

We stayed in this place for 3 nights in Jan 2012 and we liked it a lot. The lodges are spacious and the environment is stunningly beautiful. Claire and Peter are very friendly hosts and trying to fullfil all your wishes. More

We stayed three nights at this wonderful place. The cabin was luxury and met all our expectations. Our hosts were very helpful and always available for recommendations. Dinner was served in nice atmosphere. We had wonderful days and would return any time. More

I'll join the many reviewers calling The Resurgence a highlight on their South Island vacation; I joined TripAdvisor solely to inform people who might have overlooked it during their planning process, as I almost did. The setting is among the most visually stunning in New Zealand -- so green, lush, varied and alive you feel you must be dreaming. You... More

My wife and I enjoyed a short stay at The Resurgence, 3 nights during our 10 day trip to New Zealand. The property was truly special, a very nice location amongst the trees and mountainsides. We had breakfast and dinner each day and each meal was nearly perfect. Claire and Peter, although quite humble about it, are superb chefs. Our... More

Our four night stay here over Christmas was idyllic. We stayed in the Leslie Karamea Lodge room which was spacious and light and spotlessly clean. The bed was huge and very comfortable.I am fussy about pillows. They were just right. I loved the large walk in closet and the roomy bathroom with good quality towels and toiletries and restful decor. The setting... More

We booked for new years eve and, although we only had one night there, the relaxed homely atmosphere combined with an underlying quality of rooms, food, view and company can not be faulted. I travel regularly for work staying in the usual mainstream high quality hotels and wanted a retreat with quality and peacefulness and a really welcoming atmosphere. Within... More
