Having been here a number of times for lunch I have always found the staff to be pleasant and helpful and the food to be of good quality, tasty and reasonably priced. A nice quiet location with a good atmosphere .

Stay here in August for two night we wished it had been one,the bed was very uncomfortable and we also had a crying baby and someone snoozing all night. Our first dinner here we were looking forward too because this inn is in the good food guide the food was ok but very disappointing when they did't have anything we... More

We stopped at the Cridford Inn for an evening meal. A lovely old pub with lots of character the weather was warm and we choose to eat outside. The food was very good and the service excellent friend staff. My husband had a Rib Eye steak with all the trimmings and I had the Steak pudding which was delicious. Overall... More

We quickly overcame lack of real ale-Mel was great all evening and deserves a medal. Plenty on the menu for all tastes including 2 of us vegetarians. Prompt service and all plates emptied-showing we all enjoyed the food and managed to polish off other people's chips. As to desserts we recommend signature dish called 'Ian's Cup' -but they all looked... More

The brown tourist sign on the "main road" stated 1 mile. It seemed much further as it was along very narrow lanes. However it was worth the drive. The pub is absolutely gorgeous and the bar lady was friendly and helpful. We ordered sandwiches at £5.95-£6.95 which we thought was reasonable for a pub. She said we could have chips... More

Thank you for your review . It does state clearly on the sandwich menu ,that chips are charged at £2.25 ,which is line with most other pubs ,and £5.95 for the freshly baked ciabata sandwich is also comparative. Thanks for pointing out that having a Monday off and sitting outside my home (rented from my parents) ,is not acceptable. I... More

My daughter and I stayed for a couple of nights and had a lovely experience throughout our stay. We were welcomed by friendly staff who genuinely enjoyed what they do, which makes all the difference. We felt well looked after throughout and the meals we ate during our stay (breakfast and dinner) were delicious, particularly the homemade brownies which my... More

We recently visited for a drink and some crisps whilst we were heading home, when we went to order drinks the bar reminded me of an old church cellar, the surrounding pub was quite dark and didn't look like the kind of place that I would want to spend an evening for a meal. The barmaid was welcoming but personally... More

I showed a few of my 40 customers last night ,this review ,the roars with laughter at someone calling the Cridford characterless were priceless. What a gorgeous building we have here ,and not staying for a meal here would be a mistake ,with all freshly cooked local produce ,and a great menu .I think this person may well have reviewed... This property is literally in the middle of nowhere and you can easily get lost trying to find it but it was really worth the effort when we eventually did find it. It's a beautiful building and very well looked after. It's so old with creaky floors but this only adds to the character of the place. Our room was... More

We arrived just too late for food on a Sunday (they finish serving at 2), but Mel was really helpful in recommending us another local pub we could eat at. We definitely intend on staying here when we're back in this beautiful part of the country!

Just had a first rate sunday roast at the Cridford Inn, Trusham. Excellent food and friendly professional staff. The roast beef melted in your mouth along with the perfect selection of vegetables. Puddings were divine and all home made. Prices are very resonable considering the quality of their product! This beautiful thatched long house is hidden away along a narrow... More
