The hotel is a short walk from the archeological site of Palenque which was great. We stayed in a non-air conditioned cabin, it was pretty and a good mid ground between jungle adventure and feeling safe from bugs. At night you hear the howlling monkeys and the insects which was very cool. We didnt like that the fan didnt work... More

Mayabell is located a five minute walk from the main entrance to the national park and the museum and about 2-3 km from the ruins. We stayed in one of the more basic cabins. It was fine, but a mosquito net would be an improvement. Other than that we weren't overly excited about our 24 hours at Mayabell. The food... More

The place started as a RV/Campsite only, now is the hotel too. They have built cabanas, and have a pool. They also have a restaurant. From there you can walk to the ruins easily back and forth. The hotel is 10mn taxi from town, where you can shop at the massive Chaudrui if you are camping. If you have RV,... More

Yes, the price is right if you're overlanding like we are. We had a parking space with enough space to be comfortable, and not too many people. The restaurant is somewhat of a disappointment as it's "self serve" you order while two ladies just sit there and wait? Kinda weird concept... The food is soso, my lake fish kinda tasted... More

I felt my cabaña was a bit overpriced for 200 pesos considering the bathrooms were a bit far. The bathrooms left a lot to be desired, mainly toilet paper, toilet seats, and privacy curtains for the showers and toilets. The pool is very big and warm, although it needed cleaned when I was there. I was highly alarmed by the... More

If you are looking for five star luxury then this place is not for you. But if you are looking for a clean, comfortable spot in a great location then read on. Maya Bell is right in the jungle and close to the Palenque ruins. We had a room with private bath. It had the best shower and most comfortable... More

This place is perfect for adventurers. You are gonna sleep in the actual jungle. You can choose a treehouse, hut or tent. We slept in the hut. In the night you gonna recall all the jungle movies you saw (tarzan, maugli, indy etc.) The hut was clean with private bathroom and shower. Very appreciated. You can also choose public showers.... I camped here with my wife my friend staye in the cheapest room. The place is fantastic. The room looked nice the common bathrooms are good and have war water all the time. The food in the restaurant is cheap and great, super value especially that far from any other options. And the best is the location. The closest place... More

When we arrived at this place we were greeted by a very rude lady on reception who was no help at all. Eventually after 10mins of explaining I have made a reservation and being spoken too like something she had found on her shoe my reservation was found on the computer. The rooms were very average pool looked it hadn't... More
