The place has great pasta, a warm ambiance and a nature filled experince. In the middle of the jungle palapas make for unique accomodations, the swing in the small foyer of our hut was just the perfect touch for reconnecting with the child within, the place was perfect to get away from a seriously busy lifestyle. The night time sounds... More

Maya Bell is a great location for visiting local ruins and the jungle in general. Most rooms are very rustic i.e in the jungle, no mosquito nets on beds so if you are not a fan of bugs they will be around. But there are some rooms are in buildings instead of cabins so they have air conditioning and no... More

The room was ok but could use some new paintings and furnitures (especially in the bathrooms). Doors are not full doors in the bathroom so don't expect any intimacy. The services are however very good and the location is really great. The pool is nice too.

We stayed in a cabana here for 2 nights. Very basic but clean and hot water. Be warned that this place is on the edge of the jungle - you may find bugs, spiders etc in your room, especially as they ate rustic and not insect-proof! Ideally located to visit Palenque ruins and the bar/restaurant is amazing - great cocktails... More

What a nice and comfortable place to stay. Away from all the tourists near the jungle and close to the monkeys. We were very pleasantly surprised the room near the pool was comfortable and clean and a very good value. We had dinner at their restaurant and the fish was excellent . The staff was helpful and kind, best area... More

Simple rooms were fine, but mattresses and pillows are approaching time for replacement. Showers in the rooms are ok (a bit more pressure and heat would be good). Live music is nice, but was not every night as one of their signs suggests. The restaurant is good and staff were friendly and helpful. Very close to the ruins, but be... More

The hotel is a short walk from the archeological site of Palenque which was great. We stayed in a non-air conditioned cabin, it was pretty and a good mid ground between jungle adventure and feeling safe from bugs. At night you hear the howlling monkeys and the insects which was very cool. We didnt like that the fan didnt work... More

Mayabell is located a five minute walk from the main entrance to the national park and the museum and about 2-3 km from the ruins. We stayed in one of the more basic cabins. It was fine, but a mosquito net would be an improvement. Other than that we weren't overly excited about our 24 hours at Mayabell. The food... More

The place started as a RV/Campsite only, now is the hotel too. They have built cabanas, and have a pool. They also have a restaurant. From there you can walk to the ruins easily back and forth. The hotel is 10mn taxi from town, where you can shop at the massive Chaudrui if you are camping. If you have RV,... More

Yes, the price is right if you're overlanding like we are. We had a parking space with enough space to be comfortable, and not too many people. The restaurant is somewhat of a disappointment as it's "self serve" you order while two ladies just sit there and wait? Kinda weird concept... The food is soso, my lake fish kinda tasted... More
