For palenque, this place is nice - it's not the top of the line, but it' peaceful and comfortable. DO NOT GET A MASSAGE from their contracted massage person. It was not only terrible, but extremely creepy!!!!! Another thing I didn't like was that the restaurant staff was rude. However, this is from the American perspective...if you're an american traveling... More

As I was lying in the hammock on the front porch, I thought, "life could not be more perfect." I'm a nature girl, but I also enjoy comfort and upscale facilities. This was a fabulous mix of both. The hotel is in the jungle, away from the noise, the huts have their own private porches with hammocks, and the rooms... More

Aldea hotel is a good option for voyager who are looking for a comfortable accomodation in the middle of Palenque jungle an very near to the ruins ( suggested to visit at the opening 8:30 am). Need to mention the amazing swimming pool and the small and pretty iguanas walking in the garden. Restaurant and staff is on average

I have never found it so hard to choose somewhere to say as based on the reviews here everywhere at Palenque seemed to have a downside – albeit in the case of the OTT Quinta Chanabnal that is cost and having only a handful of rooms. Added to that is the choice of staying in the country or in the... More

We stayed two nights here to have easy access to the ruins. At first, we were shown a king room that was under the office. It was dark, very stark and just beyond plain. Our reservation was for a double, so we asked to see that room--quite a difference! One of two rooms in a thatched hut by the pool,... More

We stayed here on December 20 and 21 to experience the end of the Maya calendar at Palenque ruins. We had stayed here before about 5 years ago. The property has expanded since our first stay. There are several two unit buildings with thatched roofs, nice porches etc. As others have stated. The new pool is lovely looking, but it... More

Terrible, the price is really high considering what it offers, the room has only a bed and a table, it has no phone, no tv, nothing, but a bed, a table and the bathroom. The bed is really uncomfortable, noisy and hard, i woke up with back and neck pain, when i went out of the pool my skin was... More

Review based on a one night stay. Beautiful gardens, good service, good service, quiet. Dinner in the restaurant was tasty and well presented. Room service from the restaurant is apparently available but not advertised. Rooms were clean and in good order. If you absolutely need to speak English, you may have some difficulty (as some previous reports elsewhere have complained)... More

This is a very relaxing place to stay near the ruins; the cabanas are well spread out around the site and each contains two very spacious comfortable rooms with private verandah. Extremely good value; we paid cash and negotiated a good discount.

The two-unit buildings are scattered on a beautifully jungly landscape, each with a nice private space of porch with a hammock and chairs. We planned to spend two days at the ruins, but ended up spending one day just lounging in the hammock and at the pool, enjoying the birds and the butterflies and the flowers. We couldn't pick up...
