This was one of the coolest hostels I've stayed at during my travels. We stayed in a cabaña in the middle of the jungle, surrounded by the sounds of crickets at night and howler monkeys during the day. It is also located near the ruins. The restaurant was fantastic! The food (particularly breakfast if you consider the portion size) can... More

Just around the corner of the entrance of the park, in El Panchan, Jungle Palace provides mediocre cabana’s in the jungle for a good price, ideal for the traveler living on a shoestring. You can share the dorms with up to four people, making it even more affordable. The cabana’s are well protected against mosquito’s. The shared bathrooms are good... More

The place is situated at the entrance to Palenque ruins (though you will need to take a bus to get to the actual entrance) in the jungle - that is the best what El Panchan has to offer. Expect sudden showers and howler monkeys howling in the middle of the night :) Rooms are clean but they lack some personal... More

We were in one of the three cabin complexes called jungle palace. Incredible place to stay, you are in the middle of the jungle surrounded by beautiful creatures plants and sounds(jungle sounds at night were the best). The guy at the reception Daniel was awasome, and we had some very interesting conversations with him. If you expect regular comfortable all-inclusive... More

El Panchan is cheap, I stayed in jungle palace for 100 pesos for a private room with a double bed. Yes it's basic but it has everything you need. Yes there are bugs and Mosquitos and tarantulas because it's the jungle, it's kind of to be expected. The restaurants are nice their is live music and fire twirling at night,... More

If you are going to stay for one night in Palenque I definitely recommend you this special place. Immersed in the middle of the jungle, just 20 minutes from the archaeological site of Palenque, you will find this group of houses where you can gently fall asleep while listening to the sounds of the nature. Within the place there are... More

I had planned to stay in the town of Palenque before arriving but my tour driver recommended El Panchan when he was finding out where everyone was planning on staying. I had also heard other people talking about it, however my experience of it was nothing to rave about. It was out of town so when I saw the hut... More

I have traveled quite a bit and on pretty adventurous tours. This little village of jungle huts was a really great experience. We paid 150 pesos for a 2 bed hut for one night. I had read some reviews that said they played a lot of music late but we didn't have that problem. Just the sounds of the jungle... More

They are located a few meters from palenque national park. They have several types pf cabins in the middle of the beautiful jungle. Atmosphere at night is great and don muchos restaurant is delicious. Right next to the restaurant you can find tour guides there during the day that can take you around the archeological spots and the waterfalls. Great... More

The perfect place to stay for easy access to the ruins. This is basic but clean and perfect for the price. A little jungle walk through to Don Muchos where everyone in El Panchan goes to have dinner. Live music each night and a fire show every night except Monday's- we were there Monday so missed out! Really easy to... More
