They are located a few meters from palenque national park. They have several types pf cabins in the middle of the beautiful jungle. Atmosphere at night is great and don muchos restaurant is delicious. Right next to the restaurant you can find tour guides there during the day that can take you around the archeological spots and the waterfalls. Great... More

The perfect place to stay for easy access to the ruins. This is basic but clean and perfect for the price. A little jungle walk through to Don Muchos where everyone in El Panchan goes to have dinner. Live music each night and a fire show every night except Monday's- we were there Monday so missed out! Really easy to... More

You can't beat the location (a stone´s throw from the entrance of the ruins of Palenque), you can beat the cabins (slightly grubby with an unsavory mustiness). Accommodation aside, go for the jungley atmospheric German restaurant offering 101 ways to serve spaetzle, great local live music, and a ferel looking owner who bends over backwards to look after you. The camping at Mono Blanco is bare bones, but it does the job. They have a raised platform on which you can camp. There's a tin roof to protect you from falling coconuts (although the noise might be as scary as actually getting hit with one). You have a view of Don Mucho's which is nice when fire dancing is... El Panchan, some sort of association of several accommodation sub-hotels along with campgrounds and a couple of restaurants, is a hugely funky place whose only benefits are those excellent restaurants, cheap rates, and being at the entrance to the ruins (or park or whatever...where you pay to get in). We stayed in one of Chato's Cabanas which were dreary 2... More

If you enjoy the unusual and not franchise hotels then we highly recommend this place. Highlight was getting to see and hear howler monkeys from our room. Clean basic room good bed with friendly staff. No wifi, but one of the restaurants had wifi for very cheap. Margareta was very nice. Drinking water supplied at office. Plenty of great food... More

I stayed at 'Magarita and Ed's', as I was told this place was most secure. It seemed secure enough, was clean and comfortable, but unfortunately when you get a number of guests who decide to just talk into the late hours outside your window it does not make for a good nights sleep (this happens both nights we stayed). In... More

We stayed in the most expensive room (which was really still pretty cheap- it is definitely not a luxury hotel). The room had a lot of light, a view out to the jungle, a lovely shower, a comfortable bed and it was very clean, despite all the rain. There is quite a lot of choice at this place and some... More

I've spent with my wife 2 nights in our honeymoon. It's very well located (near the Palenque ruins), has restaurants/bars with excellent live music and shows, and its food is very good, specially the pizzas. Chatos cabins are very basic, rustic and clean. That would be fine, except that they are neither nice nor well maintained. It is cheap, and... More

Varias options when you get at El Panchan. It is a jungle complex with 4-5 options all run and owned separately .I asked to visit the accomodations before commiting to one in particular.I had read about the music noise level so I made sure to rent a cabana at margarits and eds which is the furthest away and it was worth...
