The downside first. The places caters to busloads and tour groups, so their focus in on making your driver or tour leader happy. It is a competitive business, so no surprise they are watching the pennies closely. Sadly, that makes it all come across as a bit stingy and uncaring. To be fair, though, the rooms are spacious and nicely... More

arrived at the hotel by night after a long day visiting the near sites. The lobby was packed but it was quite easy to check in. While doing it I was ove heard that there weren't pool towels, didn't care as we where not going to swim by then. As we entered the room the thing that we noticied was... More

Although travelling with a group, I was the 'odd'male so had a room to myself. I was treated to a little semi-villa room. The others had an appartment which I understand had issues with the hot water -- but not everyone and differing times of the stay. My 'villa' was comfortable although basic. Hot water a plenty so had no... More

Convenient location for the Mayan site at Palenque. Rooms are set around a courtyard or as adjoining villas in the gardens. Some are quite distant from the reception/bar/restaurant area which may be a problem in heavy rain. The courtyard rooms were large and reasonably furnished but seemed to be musty and needed some updating. There are two swimming pools. Wifi... More

Great location just off the main road, next door to Aluxes ecopark and a 5 minute ride from the ruins. It's nice and clean, decorated with a Mayan theme throughout, so a walk through the hotel is like visiting a museum. Fiendly staff, nice restaurant and a pool with a slide. What more can you ask for? My flight was... More

I stayed here for 4 nights with friends, and it was a good experience. The grounds are beautiful and the rooms are rustic, clean and cute. We found the staff to be very friendly. The location is very convenient to the ancient archeological site of Palenque.

We stayed 2 nights here with a group of 30 grown-up tourists from Finland. In spite of the fact, that this compound is not very modern, we liked our stay here. Bungalow-style accommodation has its own charm. There is not very much to see in the vicinity, as described in other ratings. But never mind, you can make the jungle... More

Although the room looked OK to begin with, considering the hotel is located at the edge of the jungle/rain forest, my wife woke me up at 02:00 complaining she could feel things crawling on her. When we turned on the light, the whole bed was alive with bed bugs. We brushed them off each other, dressed and went to the... More

This 'resort' is just down the road from Palenque ruins. There's nothing around it, except other hotels. It's a short drive from the main town. It's quite large with a couple of swimming pools (which we didn't try) and attractive gardens. We arrived quite late and the heavens opened and remained so for the entire night and following morning -... More

The rooms are very smelly, dirty and worn down. And so are the bathrooms. I did not like the athmosphere of that place. No soul, no service, no nothing! Even the sofas in the reception area were old and filthy and the restaurant didn't look comfy and welcoming. It's only for big tourist buses, that only stay for a night... More
