El Colombre is definitely great place to stay for your Palenque visit. We stayed here 3 nights and we wished we could stay there longer. We run small B&B ourselves, so when travelling we are looking for similar concepts to ours and know quite well what makes such places not just good, but great! 1. Owners. Karen & Oscar are... More

I stayed here for 4 nights and found it perfect for my stay! The hosts Oscar and Karen are very warm, caring, hospitable and tended to our every need. The property is lovely. Lush green gardens that are well kept, a good size swimming pool, which is very clean and the sounds of nature which surround you make for a... More

+: Great place, where you can relax around the pool after a long day of visits. Hosts are very welcoming and serve a very nice breakfast and dinner (not included in room price). We had the room at the back, there was no view but it was very charming. -: no internet. Which can be nice to completely have a... More

Just what we were looking for! Brought the whole family to celebrate my sixtieth birthday and we found this place to be perfect. Pool was great, the gardens were a photographers paradise! We enjoyed the lovely healthy breakfasts and Karen and Oscar and their two beautiful Lab dogs made us feel very welcome. Beds and rooms very comfortable and loved... More

We liked twice daily macaw fly-pass, hearing the howlers from the cabin, lovely breakfast and dinner, lift from Oscar when the taxis were busy, the fab Ruins, the spacious cabin. Outside Oscar's control were the occasionally noisy neighbours or their dogs, and the snake (harmless! )in the pool. Maybe within his control was the discrepancy been the booking price and... More

We had been already in Mexico City, Oaxaca and San Cristobal when we got to El Colombre and we felt super relaxed from the very first moment. Oscar and his wife live in this lovely house meanwhile they rent the cabanas around the swimming pool. They offer home made breakfast and dinner with fantastic jams, breads and sauces that will... We stayed here for one night. The rooms are fine and the jungle setting is nice (although it is one kilometer off the Palenque road on a dirt road - not where it's shown on the map). The one thing that put us off is that we had limited time and wanted to get to the ruins as soon as... More

if you want to splurge for a relatively ridiculous price then go here. you will find beautiful cabañas, a swimming pool, right in the middle of a farm producing fruits and vegetables. if you want to eat and/or have breakfast you will have the chance to taste them - and if you want my advice just do it! the price... The four bungalows in this huge garden are nice and quiet. You wake up with the sounds of tropical birds. As it is a small scale location you are a guest of Karin & Oscar - not just a number. The daily menus are limited in options but good. Hint: ask for tacos.

We spent two lovely nights at El Colombre with Karen and Oscar. The bungalows are large and clean with thatched roofs and are totally lovely - harmoniously scattered among the lush garden and jungle trees. The pool is great, situated overlooking the natural jungle and farms around. El Colombre is beautifully and quietly located 1.3 km off the main road... More
