We've been to this hotels 2 times in a row and guess where will the 3rd time be? Great hotel in the middle of the jungle. Be ready to be waken up by crying monkey. Hotel is in walking distance from a great restaurant and right at the entrance to the archaeological zone of Palenque. Great place, great price.

Booked this a few days ago. Kin Balam is cheap so don't expect amenities. Its a place to sleep and go. Its in the jungle so expect bugs. The room we stayed in had a bathroom (pay extra for this) The windows had netting but bugs can come from anywhere. 2 nights was just about right. One night after the... More

Stayed for two nights. The idea of cabanas is awesome, but our cabana was kind of roten, at least it smelled like it. Nothing gets dry here, but you are in a jungle so you should expect a lot of humidity and insects as well. Otherwise I really enjoyed the place, the jungle and the monkeys. Pool is great. Staff... Pretty basic cabanas, but they are okay. They have fans which is good. Bathrooms are a bit basic. Pool is lovely. No filtered water available though which was a nightmare. As the nearest shops are really far away and they only sold expensive bottled water. That was a big downside for me.

Before we arrived we were a little worried with all the negative comments. However, the room was very clean, confortable and the place is awesome. Sleeping with the howler monkeys was beautiful. The pool is very nice and we spent two lovely afternoons in it. The staff let us used it even after check out. The price with taxes was... More

We didn't have high expectations but were pleasantly surprised that it is located right at the entrance to the Palenque National Park. This place is really really nice if you love staying close to nature with some modern convenience. There is hot water shower and clean toilets. As we arrived late at night, the staff was kind enough to help... More

The room is a little cabaña, it is cheap, 400 pesos a day. The hotel is really nice, it is located really close to Palenque, it has a swimming pool to relax for a little bit, the weather is extremely hot. The staff are helpful, we booked with them tours around Palenque. The bathrooms are separated from your room but... More

The quality of the room is good even if the bathrooms could be renewed. The cabins are really in the jungle so you get the full experience however they are all gathered in a group of 6 cabins so you don't get the intimacy you might expect. I would recommand this hotel.

Right at the gates to the national park. We just had to stand on the highway and flag down a passing collectivo and were at the site within 5 minutes. We chose a cabin with a private bathroom. Toilet and shower worked fine. No a/c but lots of windows and a fan. Slept to the sound of birds, insects and... More
