Great hotel and friendly staff. There is a tour agency located inside the facility. I'm sure you can get the same tours at a cheaper rate outside (that's what I heard from a taxi driver). The hotel is pretty close the ADO bus station which is a bonus. The rooms don't have a safety box. However, it is available at... More

We came to Palenque as most tourists do, for the trip to the ruins. Don't buy your tour tickets through the hotel like we did, go to the tour agency on the other side of the street , 1/2 a block down, it is around 20 dollars cheaper. The hotel was great! We found the rooms to be large, quiet... More

The hotel facilities are good with a good pool, and the restaurant was better than a top rated external restaurant, and better by a country mile. In fact I rated the tacos as the best of the two weeks we have spent in Mexico. Finally tacos that are more than some meat in a soft shell. The room was adequate,... More

La Cañada is a wonderful quiet, leafy neighborhood in Palenque, home to several hotels and restaurants. The Hotel Maya Tulipanes is very laid-back, an attractive hotel, with a staff that aims to please, and succeeds. Rooms were sizeable, bathrooms very adequate, a good restaurant. I had stayed there seven years ago and found it, again, a good choice. And it... More

It was hotter than blazes while we were here. The room was comfortable - cooled by a new looking mini-split. The ceiling fan helped too. Rooms were good sized, clean, and modern. The staff was very helpful, offering me a cooler to keep a bag of ice from melting too fast. Secure parking area, good restaurant - we only had... More

Stayed 2 nights to visit the archaeological site, only 15 minutes drive away. Rooms very large and very well equipped. Ours (300) was behind reception and was very quite, despite having a balcony overlooking the street. A/C and ceiling fan. WiFi in room had strong signal. Excellent pool area, which was good for relaxing after a morning's exploration of the... More

A very good value hotel with clean, spacious and confortable rooms and a very flexible management team (we had requested an early check in as we were arriving with the night bus and they super kindly let us get in the room at 7am !). Good mosquito protection in the room which is supremely important in that area Good bathroom... More

We stayed here for three nights in February, 2014. We had a room in the block nearest to the swimming pool. The room was sparkling clean, gleaming tile everywhere. Comfortable bed and hot showers. The staff were very friendly and attentive. There is a pleasant swimming pool area, perfect for relaxing after exploring the ruins. The food in the restaurant... More

Five of us stayed 2 nights in this great hotel. We came by bus and it was easy to walk to the hotel. Our rooms were clean, quiet, excellent, air conditioned. The hotel itself is beautiful -- decorated with Mayan copies of sculptures. The restaurant was just fine. The pool was a great addition. We were totally delighted with this... More
