La Cañada is a wonderful quiet, leafy neighborhood in Palenque, home to several hotels and restaurants. The Hotel Maya Tulipanes is very laid-back, an attractive hotel, with a staff that aims to please, and succeeds. Rooms were sizeable, bathrooms very adequate, a good restaurant. I had stayed there seven years ago and found it, again, a good choice. And it... More

It was hotter than blazes while we were here. The room was comfortable - cooled by a new looking mini-split. The ceiling fan helped too. Rooms were good sized, clean, and modern. The staff was very helpful, offering me a cooler to keep a bag of ice from melting too fast. Secure parking area, good restaurant - we only had... More

Stayed 2 nights to visit the archaeological site, only 15 minutes drive away. Rooms very large and very well equipped. Ours (300) was behind reception and was very quite, despite having a balcony overlooking the street. A/C and ceiling fan. WiFi in room had strong signal. Excellent pool area, which was good for relaxing after a morning's exploration of the... More

A very good value hotel with clean, spacious and confortable rooms and a very flexible management team (we had requested an early check in as we were arriving with the night bus and they super kindly let us get in the room at 7am !). Good mosquito protection in the room which is supremely important in that area Good bathroom... More

We stayed here for three nights in February, 2014. We had a room in the block nearest to the swimming pool. The room was sparkling clean, gleaming tile everywhere. Comfortable bed and hot showers. The staff were very friendly and attentive. There is a pleasant swimming pool area, perfect for relaxing after exploring the ruins. The food in the restaurant... More

Five of us stayed 2 nights in this great hotel. We came by bus and it was easy to walk to the hotel. Our rooms were clean, quiet, excellent, air conditioned. The hotel itself is beautiful -- decorated with Mayan copies of sculptures. The restaurant was just fine. The pool was a great addition. We were totally delighted with this... More

We stayed at the Hotel Maya Tulipanes from 15 to 19 February 2014. There were three couples, staying in rooms 126, 127 and 129. We had a great time! The Hotel Maya Tulipanes is in the ‘little Canada’ part of the town of Palenque, which is several blocks of hotels and restrauants with a great number of shade trees. It... More

We stayed here just one night because we had some problems at the Chablis Hotel... they sent us to this hotel but would not accept again. It is huge but old. Rooms are too big and TV is really small and old. Beds are OK as well as the bathroom, everything was clean. It's better years are gone. The main... More

We were on a 3-week tour of the Lost World of the Mayans and our small group (9) stayed here two nights. We were there to explore Palenque and the hotel is a short drive away. Our room was upstairs along a corridor with no outside window, in other words our window faced the inside corridor. Perhaps that was good... More

My boyfriend and I spent an incredile time in this authentic, friendly environment! The food, the staff, overall the service was really good! I even got to try delicious ethnic Mayan dishes (Nopal with melted fresh cheese and a touch of green chile ). The rooms were very clean and the beds were very comfortable . If you want a... More
