We have stayed at the Maya Tulipanes on several occasions. It is in a nice, quiet location, close to restaurants and within walking distance of town. The accommodations are clean and the grounds are beautiful. Hotel staff is helpful and courteous. The food is delicious! We've only had breakfasts there and those are great! Would highly recommend this place. more

There are many options for hotels in Palenque. This one looks the best for us. The guy at the reception desk speaks some English but not fluently. The Maya Tulipanes is a nice, clean, well maintained hotel, with swimming pool, restaurant, and bar in the middle of Palenque, easy walking distance to restaurants, downtown shopping, and the attractions surrounding the town. After the grueling trip from San Cristobal de las Casas to Palenque (280 km and 200 speed bumps!), our arrival at Hotel Maya Tulipanes was a welcome relief. Good clean hotel. We turned up on the day and got a pretty good rate considering that the hotel was busy. The rooms are basic but nice and very clean. We stayed at the Maya Tulipanes hotel for a couple of nights. Although our room was pretty simple, it had a good A/C unit, a TV and a perfectly decent bed.
