You'd better speak English in this hotel as even reception has no notion of English. The hotel is made for big groups, when the whole dinning room is full, from the swimming pool to the reception, you have no air to breath if you do not sit close to the pool and the Mexican life band makes your head explode.... I stayed at Misión Palenque about 20 years ago. It has gotten better with age-spotless rooms, good food and service and great ambience. We liked everything about the hotel. The grounds are beautiful. Loved it!

I have stayed in other Mision properties, and was expecting more of a 5-star hotel than maybe a 3. That said, however, we had a very nice and comfortable stay at the Mision Palenque. The room was large and comfortable, and the shower (although the knobs were a little funky) was strong. Shampoo and body lotion were the only amenities... More

I picked this hotel as a base for exploring the Palenque ruins and the other nearby sights. Although it was a little difficult to find when driving it was a very pleasant surprise to find such a big hotel property when we found the Mision. The hotel was set in a huge park like setting in Palenque city. The hotel... More

While I expected more from a Mision Hotel, my stay was pleasant. The room was average, but large. The restaurant was very good and the staff always helpful, even if most didn't understand English. I would certainly return.

We stayed here for 2 nights and were sad to leave. The hotel is in a very nice area, which makes you feel like you're in the middle of the jungle. Monkeys in the tree in front of the hotel! The rooms are comfortable with a nice bed and a clean bathroom. Just a little noisy..when people arrived at the... More

Stayed here for 2 nights, the rooms are very clean but basic, the hotel has a nice relaxed pool! It closes until 10:30 pm! The climate in Palenque is warm and humid so after coming from a trip to ruins, you would love the pool is still open!! You can drink a beer while staying at the pool! When I... More

This hotel is a few blocks from the main square, and has a large secure parking lot. The rooms are modern. There is a small table with a chair, a desk, and a bench for luggage. A large armoire holds the free safe for valuables. There is a flat screen t.v with some English speaking channels and a quiet a.c.... More

This hotel is situated in a jungle atmosphere which I have never experienced before. Upon arrival you could hear the howler monkeys. Our tour arrived 20th of December and had a wonderful dinner along with a Temazcal bath. So relaxing after a day trip on the bus! I should of taken in a massage also. Then it started to rain... More

We stayed here for two nights as part of our tour of Mexico organised by Imagine Latin America. It’s a nice base for exploring the amazing Palenque ruins. The hotel is a short walk from the centre of town but the streets are safe and it is easy to find your way around. The rooms are a decent size and... More
