We have stayed at Piedre dr Agua in Merida and loved it so when we went to Palenque we stayed there as well ..for the first night;-) unfortunately the cleanliness and the service as well as accommodations were not nearly on par..even for a place in the jungle. The next day we checked in to Quinta Chanabnal and were VERY... More

This is a well located hotel within a short drive of the Palenque archaeological site. Most of the staff we met spoke good English and were very helpful. The room was huge with a large sitting area with fresh flowers. The minibar has free non-alcoholic drinks which are replenished during your stay. The safe is too small to keep much... More

Dear reviewer and guest, First of all let me thank you for your stay at our hotel and express our satisfaction of making your stay generally speaking good. Reading your post I found two issues that I would like to address as owner and General Manager. As for your point about the safe that is too small to keep much... More

The German owner is an expert on Mayan script and, from what we saw, most other aspects of Mayan culture. He had a hand in every aspect of designing the hotel and experience. Tucked away in the jungle, beside a lake, with a cascade of swimming pools, large beautiful rooms, and an amazing menu, this hotel gives the feeling of... More

We were on a "luxury tour" and spent 2 lovely days here. We were welcomed by very friendly staff and shown to our beautiful huge room. Bathroom was bigger than some hotel bedrooms. Wonderful. Food at all meals was great. Someone there is a great chef. Prices for food and drink were very reasonable indeed. Only small gripes were that... More

We were delighted to stay here. It is elegantly appointed and very beautiful. The food and the service were wonderful. It was fascinating talking with the owner, Rafael, about Mayan culture and his vision for the hotel. Highly recommended!

Stayed here for 2 nights while touring Mexico and Central America - in all stayed at thirteen locations and this was one of the very best. The owner Raphael should take a bow. He has created a boutique hotel with I believe only 7 rooms/suites in a true Mayan style with all mod cons. The suites are large with plenty... More

Nice forest setting and rooms are attractive. We did not try the restaurant except for breakfast. The owner was very accommodating when an unexpected problem meant we had to leave a day early. Not quite enough parking for size of hotel.

A very quirky little hotel and really delightful. We loved the custom made Mayan carvings and the "distressed" modern pyramids in the grounds! We were very happy with our room on the first floor, it was comfortable and with a terrace to sit out on. The food was gorgeous, and with unusual dishes on offer such as Aztec soup and... More

It's close to the famous ruins in Palenque and it looks a little bit like an old mayan palace. Only 8 rooms, very spacious and beautifully decorated, a pond with a pool and a good restaurant. The German owner is an expert in mayan history. All of that has a price- but it's worth it!
