We stayed from the 3rd July for a few nights the rooms were clean the pool fab and the evening meals delicious. As a party of four adults we had no complaints, a relaxing break, and we especially liked making friends with Jerry (the cat )

We needed somewhere to sleep and found this place by chance. It is different, in a nice way. The lady which I think is the owner is lovely, she did everything, booked you in, served tables at meals and was really nice. The room we had was a bit boring like at camp and smelled a little damp, but clean... More

Madame is not suited to hospitality - a smile on her face and the answer to every request is 'No' - very very rigid in every respect which made it an unnecessarily unpleasant experience. Some rooms are incredibly basic and the newer ones are ok although you will not be able to read in bed as there are only dim... More

We arrived on Sunday about 3 pm. The place seemed deserted, even though I had correspondence with the hotel, they didn't mention the the reception didn't open until 5 pm! That aside, don't be put off. The room was situated in an adjacent building. To access, you go through a door marked 'Toilets! But you do find a quiet pleasant... More

My partner and I took a group of 12 wine enthusiasts from aged 22 to 77 on a tour of the Languedoc and used Val Moureze as a base for 4 nights! The rooms were modern, clean and practical with lovely views. The pool sparkling and yes, a few mad boys did go in in May! The hotel is a... More

Good clean room and very pleasant welcome from the owner. Very quiet and secluded with a beautiful outlook from the restaurant. Would definitely stay there again when in the area. Worth making a detour. Get there before 8 if you want to eat in the restaurant as there is nothing nearby on foot. All in all a lovely place to... More

Moureze is a charming town with nearby hikes and gorgeous bike rides, and this auberge is a perfect home base. The terrace is elevated to give those enjoying a meal there to gaze out on the limestone outcroppings typical of the area. Pool is clean and a welcome relief from a warm day spent outside. Breakfast in the morning had... More

We enjoyed our stay at the Auberge de Val Moureze. At 63 euros, it was a good value -- a clean room in an interesting village. The area is frequented by hikers, and the basic lodging apparently caters to this outdoorsy crowd. There is no elevator, so luggage must be carried upstairs. Also, the people we talked with did not... More

For many years the Auberge Val Mourèze has been a tranquil little haven of pleasure for all senses. The combined talents of Josse & Olivier, true kitchen wizards who manage to surprise their customers every day anew with refined, delightful dishes, the elegant and warm, friendly hospitality of the ladies of the house, Linda and Debby... a treat for every... We had a 2 night stay in a superior pool view room. It was clear the rooms had recently been refurbished and had a contemporary style including balcony. The hotel is situated on edge of Moureze but in such a small hamlet that's only a 5minute walk to the centre. There you'll find a bar/restaurant but not much else by... More
