We stayed for 4 nights. Travelling from New Zealand, was not easy to book, as I'm not good at online stuff. Our host Marco took phone calls from us late at night his time to ensure we were able to get what we wanted. On arrival we recieved a warm welcome, our bags taken to our room, and recommendations for... More

Had a lovely two night stay at Tredethy which is in a quiet location with fabulous views. Homemade cake and palmier biscuits await the weary traveller. Light fresh and healthy breakfast available and home made bread to die for. By prior arrangement, and after a hard days work, Marco kindly produced a selection of delicious antipasto allowing us to savour... More

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights with 2 adults and 2 grown up children and we just love this hotel. Perfectly situated with stunning views, this hotel is charming with a nice touch of "shabby chique", nothing too posh but quite enough to make us feel special. The owner is funny and we had good chats about music.... More

My husband and I chose this hotel as it had some really good reviews. However, we arrived at 2.30pm expecting to have a coffee after 3 hour journey only to find the hotel locked. We waited 30 minutes before the door opened to be told the hotel is closed until 3.00pm check in time. We were shown to our room... More

I wouldn't like to stay in a place like this. In fact, reality is quite different and therefore feel we need to reply to this review. The door was opened almost immediately for this early check in, with apologies, although early check ins means us travelling from another building to the door which takes literally 2 minutes if not less.... A surprise overnight stay with evening meal and breakfast from my wife to celebrate my birthday. Really nice location, rooms very clean and bed comfortable. Host was absolutely superb, limited menu, however this is good as all of our food was freshly cooked and served piping hot. Wines from £13 a bottle a real bargain and of a good quality.... More

Arrived for a 4 day stay. Beautiful setting and the room was clean and comfy. Continental breakfast - I hadn't read the paperwork so it was a bit of a surprise, BUT I preferred it to a cooked breakfast. Obviously a lot healthier but as we were doing some walking I didn't have a "big breakfast" settling. The food is... More

Beautiful old building set in beautiful grounds, the whole area gives you a feeling of peace, The location is quiet remote and we did get lost a few times in down the county lanes and you have no mobile signal. But all fine once you had mastered the local map. Our room was very spacious with a really decent sized bathroom... More

We would not go back here. The stay was as advertised our room was large but the hotel was nothing special and lacked any ambiance. Ok for a couple of nights but not longer. Breakfast was ok but the orange juice tasted more like squash.
