If you're heading for Cornwall this hotel is a must for a stop over or short stay, gorgeous surroundings, friendly staff and the food is excellent. When we stayed there were a good mix of guests and we ended talking late into the evening. Fabulous atmosphere and ambience. Say hi to Marco

I chose Tredethy House due to the good reviews on Tripadvisor and its proximity to Wadebridge. We were met at the door on our arrival by Marco, who was very welcoming. Then after dumping our bags quickly in a very comfortable room with a lovely view, we sat outside with a bottle of wine. The views are stunning and the... More

We had a wonderful week in Cornwall. The icing on the cake was tredethy house hotel. Beautiful and peaceful house. Decorated sensitively in keeping with the character of the house. Very friendly staff. Marco, the owner, was so welcoming and really made our holiday special. A holiday to remember. Thanks marco. Eleanor and joe pollock

Advertised as a luxury hotel in the country with pictures to back it up I was disappointed to find a run down concrete fronted house. Unfortunately the only areas not in need of serious renovation are the lounge and dinning areas. Our "luxury" room had a broken sash window which couldn't be closed, dirty worn though carpets, random seconds furniture... More

We can't ask for reviews like this to be retrieved though they don't serve the traveller and are unjust to the service provider. This is just to state that Tredethy House couldn't possibly be described by anyone a concrete fronted house, being a grade 2 listed manor house dating way back to the 17th century. The description of the house... More

Spent a couple of very relaxing nights here - booked late so had to change rooms - but both great - first nights were in one of the rooms at the front of the house- fantastic really bright and airy with great views - other night was at the rear - great breakfasts and lots of lounger areas to relax... This was booked as a surprise for my birthday, and what a fantastic surprise it was! The room was faultless! The setting was so peaceful and quiet! And the service was great! There is not much else I can say , other than recommend that for a short break, away from noise, towns and people then this is defiantly the... More

A beautiful big old house in a quiet country setting. It has the wow factor as you walk into the spacious, comfy relaxed country house style entrance. The bedroom at the rear was not large but was clean and bright though would have been improved by a shower rather than a bath in the very limited space available. Choice in... More

Stayed for 2 nights, room huge and well decorated, spotlessly clean. A little disappointed that there was a supplement for the cooked breakfast and also no WiFi, in fact I didn't get a phone signal the whole time. Marco the owner was very attentive and helpful and the whole hotel was tastefully decorated and very clean. I would definitely stay... More

Just had a wonderful few days at Tredethy, everything was just perfect, hotel, weather and the beautiful North Cornwall countryside. The staff at the hotel really make you feel at home and Marco the owner is one of the best hosts. This hotel is special with its royal links to Prince Chula, look up a bit of its history before... Firstly I would like to mention that I booked 2 nights at this hotel two hours before I arrived on a very sunny weekend in July and they managed to fit us in. When we arrived we were told we had the best room in the hotel. It was Room 1 and the room is huge definitely as big as... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Tredethy House is a beautiful, peaceful and informally elegant English Country House set in an area of outstanding beauty. Built in Tudor times and later extended, it has been the unique home of many British families and of Prince Chula of Thailand until the late sixties. A delightful and unique holiday spot today, Tredethy offers privacy and the blissful peace of the countryside whatever the season and is yet at easy reach of the North and South Coast as well as the many places of interest such as the Eden Project and the divine National Trust Houses and Gardens of Cornwall. The seven acres of grounds at Tredethy are themselves a piece of history with original planting like the most beautiful Hydrangeas and pink Rhododendrons. March hosts hundreds of narcissus, April is time for the breathtaking display of bluebells, followed by wild garlic and blue and pink wildflowers. Autumn is a fantastic season, full of colour and peace, and lots of anticipation for the festive season we all look forward to every year. ... more   less
