Stayed at Tredethy for three nights, having read some of the previous negative reviews, I feel that they are being rather harsh. It's not five star or high end boutique but all in all very pleasant. It grows on you, it's a very large old building and as with all things old it has its certain characteristics so small forgivings... More

We have stayed in many a guest house, but this was not one of the better ones, let alone a good hotel. We were greeted by Marco on our arrival. However it was very brief - we were given the key to our room with directions and told that if we needed any assistance we should go back outside and... More

A review like this would not get me to book at Tredethy House, that's sure. Quite difficult to give it perspective as it often happens with horrible reviews that don't seem to hold a hint of truth in them. We always wonder why people do this knowing they are damaging a business with oh so horrible and unjustified comments. What... More

We arrived with our small dog on New Year's Eve looking for tranquility and a place to recharge our batteries. Marco was very welcoming and the room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious (especially the home baked bread and the quality of the ham and cheese) and the whole ambience of this fascinating historical home was perfect. As... More

We went there as a couple during October Half Term 2015 for 2 nights. Positives: Lovely spacious house in a wonderful country setting. Room was comfortable and clean with a lovely view over the gardens. Bed was comfortable. Negatives: Marco (Proprietor) on our arrival seemed pre-occupied. He was very matter of fact and told us where our room was without... More

Lovely, clean and well-presented room, keeping in character with the house and surroundings. Great view over the front gardens, and being 'off the beaten track' meant it was peaceful and quiet. Food was excellent, with the highlight being the home-cooked, freshly prepared Italian dishes.

Nothing about this hotel and it's hosts can be criticised if you want a quiet up market experience. The bedrooms were superb and the beds extremely comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and Marco cooked us an Italian meal in the evening although not on the menu.

We were very late arriving, but all good, got a great welcome and delivered to our room. The bed was very comfortable and the room had a spacious en suite. Breakfasts were a delight, wish we had more down time to relax and take advantage of the ground floor rooms, for reading and walks around outside. Tredethy House is situated... More

Doesn't sound these guests had a good time, although we remember them and they seemed very happy when here, conversed with my husband happily. Bar was open and manned, breakfast a feast as usual. Tea supplies in the rooms are usually more than satisfactory. We are a non smoking hotel and we agree, the grounds in wet and windy November... More

Lovely characteristic hotel in a quiet countryside location of Cornwall, I stayed for two nights. Plenty of period features, lovely old furniture, spacious room with large bathroom, shower and separate bath.

Interesting guest house full of charm and lots of quirky furniture and enormous rooms. It was exceptionally quiet the night we stayed with only one other guest but the owner Marco was very pleasant and suggested a fantastic local restaurant for our evening meal. Enjoyed a few single malts in the bar with Marco before retiring to a very comfortable... More
