As expected very high level of professionalism was shown throughout the hotel. All the staff were extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful nice to see so many local people employed at the hotel. We stayed in a superior room the Rialto, clean well presented and comfortable with an interesting twist you had to lay on the floor to look out of... More

My room was the impressively large AppleStore, which was clean & well appointed. I hosted a private dinner, stayed for one night & had breakfast. The staff were all friendly & helpful, Bianca our host for the dinner was attentive & the ensured my clients had a good evening. The food was excellent, well presented, hot & the vegetarian option... On this occasion had a superior room on the ground floor, "Manon". Large, well decorated room, furnished in the style and character of this 4 star hotel, with a very comfortable king size double bed and all the usual amenities. All very clean and well maintained. The en suite was also large and equipped with large stand alone shower in... More

On our second trip to this fabulous hotel, we stayed in 'Ian's Clock Room'. This was extremely large, spacious & comfortable . We had booked through Offpeakluxury.com,and our stay included a bottle of champagne on arrival,a fantastic 3 course meal & perfect breakfast. The staff were all pleasant & helpful & my husband & I are already looking forward to returning... More

Hotel spotless, staff couldn't do enough and well trained. We had a garden upstairs room, I forget the name as it was quite exotic. The room was absolutely lovely and the bathroom fabulous. Food excellent, location rural and peaceful. Would definitely return here, and send a big thank you to all staff for such a pleasant stay.

Lots of different areas to relax in and wander round. Main bar was open until the ceremony then smaller corner bar used which provided little choice in beers. Looked a bit temporary. The main bar had had no decent draught beers & the bar prices were not what the cliental were used to.. That's the negative bit out of the... More

Not up to par I'm afraid. Dead flies on the window cill, insect in the bed, short changed on the time for my not very satisfactory massage and the final example - the breakfast waitress used dessert spoons to dish up breakfast, wasting time as a long queue formed and food got cold.

I stay regularly at this hotel, usually when I am on business in the Felixstowe area. The prices are reasonable, the staff very friendly and helpful, the rooms are immaculate and full of character and lovely period features, the food menus are extensive, bar snacks or full a La Carte, meal preparation and quality is absolutely superb. One of my... More

This was a stay for my husbands 40th Birthday. The hotel was clean and the gardens stunning. However the room whilst large needed the bathroom updating there was blown plaster on the wall and round the bath was stained. Also whilst the service at meals was outstanding a few things let it down. I had ordered champagne to be in... More

Booked a Amazon local 2 day break having never visited before. Let me start off by saying that the staff are utterly excellent- if I could give them 10 stars, I would. Very helpful, friendly- couldn't do enough. We stayed in the Clock room, a generously spacious room with a good view to the rear. Ate in the restaurant on... More
