Positives: great location, beautiful beach, very good service Negatives: cable TV wasn't functional, WIFI barely functional, food is restaurant not so good, beach security guard a bit overbearing and telling people they can't sit together in a single lounge chair on beach. Charged me 35p for some ice. Okay/Average: rooms, prices. Overall, very nice, but there's a better choice.

I stayed with my cousin at Anika resort last weekend March 5-7, 2015. Good Points: -Free shuttle service to go to pier/port (to and fro) -The resort is very homey, peaceful, quiet and relaxing -Beachfront -Staff are all smiles, very friendly and accommodating -Room is nice, comfortable and clean -We had a nice dinner at the restaurant (grilled squid, pinakbet,... Anika is a very small resort, right on the beach, on Bantayan Island. There are maybe 30 units, all made up of modified, corrugated shipping containers. Mine was perhaps 10 feet by 20 feet. Aircon, TV, shower with hot water. Double bed. Small porch with table out front. It was clean and cost roughly $40 a day. Perhaps 5 km... More

Stunning beachfront, fine white sand, unique rooms, and great friends made this vacation awesome! The hotel van can pick your group up from the pier to the hotel. The reception area/restaurant had cool decors (starfish!). The staff were friendly although the service can definitely need more improvement. You would have to practice patience to get your chow so I suggest you... More

Was able to know about the resort from Tripadvisor and was curious with how the reviews described the resort. Booking in advance wasn't a hassle since the staff replied to my email queries. Oh! Make sure you ask what rooms are available on your target days so you can make a good decision. I got myself a sunset room for... More

The rooms are unique - converted container vans. Even though we were far from the beach, it was just a few meters away from the beach (considering that we are a very noisy family). Service was excellent though they should be aware that some filipino guests can understand their local language. I hope next time they will have a bike... More

What I liked- Access to a beautiful beachfront Balconies outside the room (since room is too small to hang out in) Good food!! Location is okay, not near the town, but pedicab ride isn't too bad. Roads are not good though... All Part of the adventure Overall great place for bantayan!!

Stayed at Anika overnight from Feb 19 to 20. We got the Sunset Villa, and had our own veranda with a table and 4 chairs. It was 100meters from the shore and it was cozy and clean. They also have a nice resto, wifi equipped and had beach chairs by the shore. You can also request for towels without an... More

The beautiful sunrise is probably the best perk in this resort. The rooms and the facilities are relatively new. They also have port pick-up so its very convenient. The food is a bit pricey so might as well eat out.

After reading a lot of good reviews about the place, I had no doubt this is going to be the perfect place to stay in Bantayan. Loved how serene the location is. The beach, however, is not friendly during our visit. Too windy and it seems too dirty. Food is expensive and not worth it. Liked our room, a single... More
