Had a beautiful meal and a very comfortable overnight stay at The Triton Inn at Sledmere. If you are thinking of a trip to Gods Own County (and you should because it is wonderful!) then you must visit Sledmere House and Gardens and combine that with a stay at The Triton. The food is superb - the menu extremely varied... More

We recently stayed at the Triton in room 4, which was nice sized room with all facilities including tea and coffee facilities and some amazing biscuits! The only slight disappointment was the bathroom was abit dated and made could do with an upgrade. It was a quiet room on the side away from the main road at the front, breakfast... More

The Triton was recommended to us by some friends, it just happened that we were passing and called in to see if by chance there was a table. We had a short wait as it was and always is busy, so I would advise pre booking. The wait didn't matter as the atmosphere is lovely, we sat at the bar... More

I'd heard really good things about the triton inn and we decided to go. It was ok, we had the salmon pate which was a bit tasteless to be honest and really creamy in a sickly way. The antipasti was a bit odd as it had a load of raw onion placed in a pile on the plate- we thought... More

We stayed here for one night. We were made very welcome. The room was comfortable and had everything needed. We had a meal in the evening which was superb. The breakfast in the morning was generous and all freshly cooked, accompanied by a very good pot of tea. Lance our host at breakfast was very friendly and welcoming.

I have visited this restaurant before and have always been fairly satisfied with the service and the food. However, my last visit was not as good as usual. I have a very restricted diet and a very small appetite. The Triton does not do 'half portions' so to overcome this problem I decided to have a sandwich and asked the... More

I am appalled that you were treated like this in my pub. I can assure you that this is not how we usually treat our customers. I have spoken to Tony who is also a partner in the business and he remembers you and agrees that it was wrong to charge you as he did for just a sandwich, he... More

Lovely rooms, great food, good atmosphere. Everything you need for a few nights away. Great service, friendly staff and a great open fire. Food was excellent, portion sizes really good, only just managed to squeeze a pudding in!
