The Fjordslottet Hotel is a charming place to stay when visiting Osterøy, north of Bergen. Perhaps not the best bed to sleep in, but nice room+bedroom. Dinner was very tasty! Good breakfast too. Free wifi, free parking. Nice staff!

Nice and quiet location in the middle of nowhere. Charming hotel, but does absolutely need an upgrade. Awful showers. The food is good and the staff is service minded. My room was OK (but only a 14" old CRT television).

Hi. Thank you so much for your review. First off, I am so glad to see you enjoyed the food and the staff was at the highest standard. That is the way it is supposed to be! We do have one old tv at the hotel which we borrow out in case of "emergency", and of course you recivied the... More

A small nostalgic, historical hotell in a quiet village relatively near to Bergen. An optimal budget option if you travel by car - as we did. Beautiful mansion-like building with pretty rooms. Excepionally warm and friendly reception; splendid kitchen. We warmly recommend you to drop in - it will become a nice element of your Norway journey.

It is a nice place, with clean rooms and friendly owners. When we planned to come here, we missed one thing - there are only 2 ways to come to the island where this hotel is located: paid bridge and a ferry. But we like to drive :-)

We stayed two nights in a small double room. It was fine and clean. We enjoyed the balcony overlooking a stream. Breakfast was good, but dinner was wonderful. We had pork one night and I had my first reindeer meat the second. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. We love beautiful out of the way places. This hotel was perfect... More

Family run hotel with very kind staff, however rooms are small, beds are rather narrow, bathroom small. Breakfast has basic selection, and there is free tea/coffee while reception open. Wi Fi was not very good at rooms. It is a long drive from Bergen, some through narrow winding roads along very nice fjord views.

This hotel is some distance from Bergen (around one hour drive), but the drive is spectacular. We took the route that involves the ferry rather than the bridge, and it was beautiful. The staff was friendly, and welcomed with chocolate biscuits. The value is great as well. We had dinner at the hotel and it was delicious.

We stayed two nights in the Fjordslottet Hotell. Rooms are big enough to hold four which is a plus for families. The staff is super helpful and friendly and the chef can cook a gourmet meal with one day advance notice. We tried the dinner and it was really spectacular. Highly recommended.

We spent the night of Monday 26th May 2014 at Fjordslottet Hotell. On that day we travelled across from Horten in the east of Norway to Fotlandsvag in the West. It took a bit longer than we anticipated so we only arrived about 2220. I had read other people's reviews that said the place was hard to find even with... More
