We stayed at the Olive Branch because our daughter was there climbing (the climbing around El Chorro is legendary). The atmosphere is no-frills, relaxed and friendly - it is justifiably popular with climbers on a limited budget, as the options range from camping (with or without a camper van) to en-suite rooms with B&B. We went B&B, but also chose... More

Climbers heaven - second visit and we will be back again. Very relaxed and a great place to stay. The weather was a mixture of sun and hail - but the climbing was still good. The local wine (€3) is great value and worth buying extra to bring home.

Stayed at the olive branch a couple of weeks ago. A lovely break. All staff are really friendly and welcoming. The mountain views are fantastic. It's lovely and peaceful. Great for climbing as mountains really close by. The food at the branch is fantastic, Tom and Roy are passionate about their food. Great portions and variety - all home cooked.... More

Good place to stay and a nice climbing community. We stayed in a private room which was pretty nice and the breakfast included in the price was great. Only negative experience was the new year's eve. The house next to it had a very loud party that kept on going until 8.30 in the morning. Without earplugs it was impossible... More

The place to stay if you are in the Andalusia region for climbing. Unpretentious, welcoming, and friendly...you are treated like family. Great location walkable and near most all of the climbing areas. The best food with large portions for dinner to feed your hungry body. Mel and Gary are the owners and they go out of their way to accommodate... More

The Olive Branch is a perfect and great value for money place to stay for climbers and those who generally visit the place to hike or sight see in the area. The location is perfect, sat right in the mountains with gorgeous views. The moment we got there we felt welcomed and when we left it was like we were... More

Just got back from a 3 night stay at OB. As always fantastic accommodation and service from a well run and maintained rural retreat. Gaz and Mel as well as their little helpers (lol) are amazing hosts and I would recommend this if you want to get away from the busy coast to a tranquil retreat. I dont know much... More

We decided to try something different this year for our main family holiday and my wife Mandy found this place purely by chance. We wanted to avoid the hustle and bustle of the main resorts but as we'd chosen a place away from the beaten track we were slightly pensive about the place and whether the kids (aged 4, 11... More

We chose to stay at the Olive Branch during our visit to el Chorro, and we are very glad we did. It's in a beatiful location overlooking mountains. Great location for climbers to stay because all the crags are near by. Mel and Gary are both wonderful and friendly. Also two guys that work there Roy and Tom were very... More
